One goal apiece after just eight minutes in Saturday's closer - before Wishaw scored a couple more to end our Scottish faves' season on a losing note...

And, finally, putting some faces to the names from this campaign:

A solid enough finish considering where they were in the early part of the season.
Cheers for all the updates, Maccy!

Yoker up and away - well, out - so far as the new season's West Region Sectional League Cup is concerned, having faced two well-known names from Scottish football's past at the Group Stage: Vale of Leven 1, Yoker 3 ; but then... Yoker 0, Clydebank 6 !

They're at home on Wednesday and I'm up there next week for an interview, does our knowledge of the club extend to anywhere to go for a decent pint/nosebag before the game?

sorry - didn't stop to look when i was throwing them into our CHASM... there are a couple of pubs very close by according to this www.footballmapper.co.uk/grounds/yoker-athletic_165meanwhile, you can get your ride pimped close by at Prestige Auto Tints, buy a custom cycle, go indoor karting and get a tattoo before picking up some botulism from farmfoods for tea, all within a few hundred yards of yoker's ground.

May be worth contacting 'Campbell' for some info. From the Yoker correspondence with us (reproduced below), he seems to know and do everything there... Mention your County Heaven connection, too. You could get in for nothing! And, of course, we shall expect to see some pics. ***************************************************************************************************** Yoker Athletic (Scotland)I am delighted that your members chose Yoker Athletic! It is the first time in our 151-year history that we have won a global award, and for it to be such a prestigious one will delight our many (well, not so many) fans. Yoker Athletic are a “Junior” football club which is a very confusing term as its actually a term used in Scotland to describe a semi-professional adult team. We hail from the banks of the Clyde where many of the shipyard workers in days gone by used to watch and play for Yoker. As most of them wore bunnets (a Scottish word for a flat cap) in those days we could have been called “The Bunnets”; not quite as posh as “The Hatters” though. Anyway, please pass on our good wishes to the “County Heaven” members, great to see fans following smaller clubs (no disrespect) especially with your close proximity to Manchester. League action got under way for Yoker at the weekend, with a trip to Wishaw - home of a multitude of postponements last term, so probably a good fixture to get out of the way.
Half-time saw our other heroes, like those in SK3, three goals to the good!
The second half saw Wishaw make a better fist of things than FCUM did, only for Yoker to edge it - just! - by the odd goal in seven:

A defeat by the odd goal in three last night... but, more importantly, was Heaven represented at Yoker by its correspondent from North Yorkshire?!

Sadly not, interview venue was changed at the last minute from Livingston to Coventry!
