Good to see that the two fellas I mentioned to watch were involved in both the Leamington goals. We need to find a proper goalscorer from somewhere as our last one was advised to go to Swansea City by his "agent". The usual strong part of our game, defence, was woeful today. Quite why the referee had so much added time is a mystery.
Bad behaviour from both sets of supporters with beer/liquid being thrown at players. Why do people behave so after a couple of sniffs of the barmaid's apron?
Apart from that, a reasonably good game with you guys bringing the sort of numbers you suggested - 360.

Lord knows, mate, we've had a few in our ranks down the years - they're just morons. Thanks for your contributions this week and the best of luck for the rest of the season - the return game at Edgeley Park aside, of course!

Interested to read some of the comments about the game. I thought we were dire for the majority of that. Having taken the lead and looking comfortable to being fortunate to go in 1-1 at half - time. How does that happen? And then for much of the second half distinctly second best. Second best in the challenge, to the loose ball and in the air and when their second went in to a free header I confess to questioning my own sanity in having a 480 mile round trip to watch that tripe but there's always hope with a finisher like Oswell in the team so I'll take that and trust Jim to be working on in training this week.

I haven't named you but have posted what you have said on the Leamington Forum to quieten down some of our lot that like to moan about everything and anything

Simesy: you have been a proper gent, and are welcome back on Heaven any time. On the balance of chances, you can feel a tad aggrieved on not getting at least a draw. Hopefully, the results will come good for you in future weeks. Without a doubt, Leamington is one of the League's friendliest clubs. And Paul Holleran chatted away with our media team for ages prior to the game. Best of all, for me personally, though...

Enjoy the Brakes Fluid - it's a very tasty tipple of an evening with some cheese and the like.

If we play with an attacking 3-4-1-2 formation we'll come away with a 3 or 4 nil win. If we go with 4 at the back we could possibly scrape a 1-0 win with a deflection off a defender's arse. Any deflections?

Hats off again to Oswell, who, unsurprisingly - but for the second weekend running nonetheless, makes it into The Non-League Paper's 'National League North & South Team of the Day'.

Jim did well with our substitutions yesterday - and, in particular, the later ones that saw McKenna and Walker replace Cowan and (the injured) Hampson. Both were already on the pitch when Leamington went ahead, but their presence enabled the formation tweak without further personnel changes. And - as you say, Simesy - it ended up doing the trick!
Especially pleased for Walker, who had an impact in a short space of time - after being something of a tactical scapegoat in earlier matches. By the look of him, he could still do with working on his fitness, but, despite his rocky start, I feel he can still be a major player for us.

"There's no point being able to change things tactically if the players are not able to do it so credit to the players."

That fella who ran on the pitch has been given a two year EP ban by all accounts.

That fella who ran on the pitch has been given a two year EP ban by all accounts. If it's true that he took a swing at one of your players, slap or otherwise, then so he should. Do these people not remember that shameful day at Kiddy? Idiots like that can keep their money and stay away for good for me.
