The rule for 'no drum' (personally I can't stand the bloody things anyway) is down to continuous complaints from a witch who owns a neighbouring farmhouse and, like many women, moans at the earliest opportunity - tannoy, crowd noise, drums etc. When we first tested our tannoy for noise levels she said she couldn't hear it but she'd "Have to turn her pool filter off 'to make sure'" You won't need a drum because you can sing instead. I realise there's been little to sing about in the last 7 years (apart from your father's scarf), but hey ho! About a decade or so ago you faced Manchester City in the Championship... now it's Leamington in the Conference North. Sorry to rub it in... No worries mate I'll bring my trumpet... It was good to see one of your directors manning the turnstile last year ... a character and was very welcoming. We plan to be outta here asap...so could be our last matches this season...errr I hope..... That Director may well have been Russell. You'll hear his voice. He says, "Ro ro ro ra ra! Poppycock, referee!" You can't make out most of what he is saying apart from the terminal invective. Our fans jocularly take the mickey out of him.

Simesy who do we need to watch out for Saturday? ...I think Stefan Moore is playing? Stefan Moore is signed on but is largely at the club as coach, bringing the younger forwards on, such as they are... I wouldn't say we have any major threats as such (until/unless we find a striker/forward after Swansea City nicked our last one). Ahmed Obeng might cause problems if he continues the recent good form he has been on, and Liam Canavan might trouble (strong tackler) although he only came back from injury for a 15 minute cameo at Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday. Does that ex-Manchesh United player's son still play for you? Moses?

Tunji Moses (Remi's lad) moved on to Salford City, as part of Neil Young's not-so-great summer clear-out in 2015.
Following that, and after Salford's promotion, he moved further down to Ashton United - but we discovered in the course of our friendly at Hurst Cross last month that he is no longer there, either!

Google reveals he is now at Prestwich Heys (Who?). He is nearly 34 years old, mind.

Ah, right - a North West Counties League outfit, I think, and from North Manchester.
Appears, then, that he is continuing to drop down steadily...

For 'drop down steadily', read 'drop down rapidly'!

If we play with an attacking 3-4-1-2 formation we'll come away with a 3 or 4 nil win.
If we go with 4 at the back we could possibly scrape a 1-0 win with a deflection off a defender's arse.

Oswell completing his hat-trick with a stoppage-time winner - now that was what I call drama! Seemed a bit shaky going off the match Tweets, but I'll take a shed load of those this season as long as we go up! Well done to the lads, but Oswell in particular - what a find!

That was an interesting game, notwithstanding a fantastic hat trick from Oswell, we played really well for the first 30 minutes of the game - playing against a vicious gale, we controlled the game and could easily have had 3 or 4 more, thought Stephenson down the left looked very good going forwards - just needed the crosses to be more accurate. They did have their chances - hit the bar twice in 10 seconds - the second of which was a header from 2 feet out - oh how we laughed. Last 15 of the first half - they seemed in control and got their penalty, think it probably was - but you can judge on the high lights! Second half I did not feel we were in it until the last 10 minutes but then 2 goals including one in the 96th minute are always welcome. Leamington are a poor team, they are also all arms, legs, pushes, etc - as for the flailing elbow on Clarke that went unpunished - well that summed up a referee who was at best very fussy and at worst missed lots and wanted the crowd to know he was there!
And then the idiots in the crowd - we always have one or two - far too much beer - loads of abuse to the Leamington keeper (far beyond the normal banter) and then gave the stewards the run around after they tried to eject him - what a disgrace to the 12th Man!!
Still a good day out - a win is a win, there's lots to enjoy but still lots of work to do. But for now I shall bask in the knowledge that we got three points, and it does not matter how well you play, but we get them!!!

Thanks for the report, mh. Given our poor starts to games up to now, it was refreshing to hear we got into things a lot quicker and managed to get the 1st goal. Very early in the season but one of those games we needed to win, however it was achieved. Also glad that Walker got an assist after coming on.
