Can I apologise to all main stand fans. I screamed and lost it a bit with Duxbury's goal. I seemed to surprise a few around me by the looks they gave. Junior was highly embarrassed but hey ho! I loved it!
With McConville's sending off, I released a whole seasons frustration in that moment as he walked down the tunnel - now that felt good!

Never apologise for showing how much you love this club, Sirius. After the nightmare we've been through you thoroughly deserved that chance to let off steam, and I hope it felt as good as you described it!

What an attendance: 3107 - and we are only half way up the league - fabulous i know it's hard to estimate from inside the ground sometimes mhh, but having occupied my usual seat on both tuesday and today, there's no way that we had two and a bit times more today. just a bit more incompetence. keep winning at home though and we will start to see a few more again. Agree with exile on this. Mhh had texted me with a heads-up on the attendance figure, and it was only thanks to his advance warning that I stopped myself from joining in the collective gasp around EP that greeted its announcement! On occasions this term, the crowd numbers have been boosted by school parties taking up freebies on the Pop Side, although there didn't appear to be any of those yesterday. The only well-populated section was the middle UT one in the Cheadle End, which did look pretty full, but none of the other areas were. I should imagine that the actual attendance was a thousand less than what we were told. That said, it's been a fair old while since I saw a crowd of 3,000-plus - so I'm not sure I'd know how to recognise one these days... !

Surely we're not suggesting that Ryan might be playing us all for chumps again? I'll not have that, he has a great deal of respect for us!

For what it's worth here's my match report from yesterday;
We started well enough and had Stalybridge on the back foot for most of the opening period with McConville making no progress at all past Duxbury before the break finally came County's way courtesy of a neat finish from the ever more impressive Dennis.
More pressing from County resulted in a second goal, maybe 15-20 minutes in, a wildly erratic cross from Duxbury seemed to swerve in the air and fly over the goalie into the net to put County into the driving seat.
Nothing else really happened in the rest of the half until the last minute when they had a goal ruled out for offside meaning County go in 2-0 up.
Second half saw Celtic storm out the traps and then the ball bounced around the area until it fell at the feet of their striker who had all the time in the world but for some reason took a touch which was enough time for Scott Duxbury to slide in and clear it off the line before getting inexplicably kicked by McConalds who earned himself a red!
The rest of the game was a bit of a non-event with County doing what they need to do to keep up their great form which has rocketed us up from the lower reaches of the table!
Also great to catch us with Sandy, Beefy, Sandy's friend (let's call him....we all know the bit), Shropshire, Sirius, Sirius Jr., Macc, Macc Jr. and Morrissey for Sandy's birthday!

Good report, Fudgie. Did Duxbury's goal really look unintended from where you were sitting, though? The Pop Side view suggested that he knew exactly what he was doing!
