The Six Nations starts today;
I'm convinced this is England's year, we have our best squad in a while, possibly since 2007 a mixture of quality experience and excellent looking youngsters.
The opening fixtures are;
France Vs. England Wales Vs. Italy Ireland Vs. Scotland
I think the game against France is important but the game against Wales could be absolutely crucial, with it being at Twickenham there is no reason we can't win, same with Ireland at home, if we play well we should beat Scotland and Italy away.

Wales are the in form team so any win against them will be massive.

I think they got away with it massively last year (sorry Maccy!) they lost comfortably to Ireland and were massively unconvincing in their wins over Italy and France as well, just a shame we decided to bottle it on the most important game of them all! Of course they are a top top top side and not to be taken lightly at all but I do feel that we will have enough about us to see them off so long as we play like we can do!

I agree fudge. I feel the Welsh are a bit like the England cricket team. Getting through without playin well and at some point (hopefully soon!) the wheels will fall off! Italy are no mugs anymore and I think it will be a tight championship but we might edge it!

Italy are certainly improving with each new generation coming through, however I think they're still some way off a competitive squad just yet;
1. England 2. Wales 3. France 4. Ireland 5. Italy 6. Scotland
My Predictions!

You're not far off with those, Fudgie bach. Reverse the top two positions, and I'm with you all the way... !

Always look out for the French the season after a Lions tour.

Wise words from archie, as events turned out!

Definitely! Still I think it was just a lapse of concentration from England rather than any great play from France, possibly even more could be riding on the Wales game

Too true, matey - and, for all my celtic bravado, I have to admit that the Welsh will have to up their game somewhat from Saturday's rather-less-than-convincing performance!

I think the second half replacements for England weakened the team.
The French were there for the taking after some rubbish first half English defence.

It's been good so far , all the games have been 100% competitive, ,and the coverage from the BBC excellent

An absolute lesson in Rugby today, England absolutely pasted Scotland, worst I've seen a Six Nations side play in a long time!
See Wales got a bit of a pasting in Ireland, means England will need a big result against the Irish if we're to have a good chance of winning, we'll also need to hope Italy can get a result against France!
