yeah, a single film would struggle to do justice to the thousand page book which is mostly character development with lots of moments of horror thrown in. this new film is part 1 i think - as far as i can see it just tells the story of the children, rather than the adults meeting up later, which is the back half of the book.

Hywel Bennett (best known for Shelley) died on the 10th anniversary of Danny's passing.
How did that one pass under the radar?
I really liked 'Shelley' back in the day.
RIP

I walked right past Stan Collymore at Liverpool Lime Street today and learned just what a big f***er the guy is - I pity the defenders who had to go up against him at his peak.

7102017 today's date is the same forwards as it is backwards A numerical palindrome - who'd have thunk it!

I think the term 'numerical palindrome' is more pleasing than the date!
Oh, and set a reminder in your calendar for this date next year, when the same thing happens

Andre Villas-Boas, the former Spurs manager, had a grandma from Stockport... and not in the Wayne Rooney sense. I have actually known this for some time myself - she was from Cheadle, in fact! It was his Grandma that he credited with teaching him to speak English as well as he does!

There's 1 Mcdonald's in the world that doesn't have the "golden arches" The M is instead turquoise as they thought yellow would clash with the brickwork used to build it!

I'm full of them today!! Just found out that Richard Branson only paid $180000.00 for Necker Island!! It was for sale for $6000000.00 and he offered $100000.00 for it, he was promptly told where to go but 1 year later the owner was hard up so went back to Branson cap in hand!!
