I know I 'liked' the post, mate, but I do hope that it didn't put you too much out of pocket. There's a mechanic who plays for us that has done the absolute pig of a job for an excellent price. Still expensive though!!! Sorry to hear that, mate, but I suppose there's the small crumb of comfort in knowing the mechanic and knowing that your money has been spent on having it done properly.

He's done a great job.
It was overheating last Friday morning so I dropped it off and missed work. Borrowed the wife's car to get to work on Saturday and Sunday. Got a lift to football on Sunday afternoon and also to work Mon, Tue and today. Great to pick it up this evening and be mobile again.

if i have a load done to my car, i always half expect it to feel supercharged afterwards. a couple of them have had more rebuilding than steve austin*. instead, it feels exactly the same except for the mirrors having been adjusted all over the place and my wallet a lot lighter.
*have probably posted before but i got a phone call from the garage while we'd stopped at services on the way to charlton away in the league cup to give me the diagnosis that my timing belt had snapped and run riot inside my engine. it ended up being two grand and even the exciting match at the valley couldn't distract me from it...

There are some real bad ass drivers.
Friday - first in queue at traffic lights at a busy cross road. Lights turned green and I started off - not fast but almost reached the middle of gthe cross road and a black bmw tinted windows came from the right at great speed and I slammed on the brakes just missing a massive collision.
Today in Leeds on a residential dual carriageway and a black mini tinted windows... get the theme here..decided to pull out in front of me with no warning, no space, slammed the brakes on or I would have been hit. He then proceeded to weave in and out overtaking the next 3 cars. Later we passed him standing on the pavement waving at the passing cars.
Sure its happened to othere and not being hyper about this but the first one was the closest I've come to a dangerous accident and made me think especially as my missus and son were in the car too.

As a young PC with what might be termed a bit of an attitude problem I used to take great delight in pulling drivers like that over and delaying their journey by as much as I could. The record was 2 1/2 hours while I waited for a vehicle examiner to come and inspect his car because the utter arse allowed a couple of £20 notes "fall" to the floor while fetching his driving licence out of his wallet. w**ker! I invited him to pick them up before I wrote him up for littering too.

Don't play the circle of 5 chords of Hey Joe for 15 minutes, non-stop, whilst your wife is dicing chicken with a very sharp knife.
I barely survived with my life intact !

That is outstanding, Duds. That '5-10%' statistic is frightening, it makes you wonder what actually is down there that is yet to be discovered! Cheers for posting, mate - enjoyable viewing!

I honestly did not know that Stephen King's 'IT' starring the brilliant Tim Curry was actually a mini-series, until today - I always thought it was a movie that was released in cinemas! So I always assumed that this...
Was a remake of the original movie.... which I now know wasn't actually a movie.
True story.
