Fully agree mate. I'd like to think that a full time club would have to pay him a massive wage to take him away from his job and what I imagine is a lucrative part time contract with us. He seems to like it here, and hopefully he's really enjoying the adoration from the fans. He must be the first player to have his own 'song' in about 4 or 5 years? Danny has an opportunity to be a talisman for County this season, next season, and the season after. He's already a fans favourite... he could become loved like Rowe, Pilks, Williams etc, and going back further a host of other names. I hope he knows just how much a promotion would mean to us, he could be a big part of something very special for us. I'd like to think that would be very appealing to him. very well said, mate.

A good performance all round in my opinion - except for (as previously said - Jimmy Ball who I too thought was poor). 1st half there was only one team in it - BUFC showed nothing of the performances they were supposed to have done under their new management. Second half I thought we let them back in as we lost our shape and composure under a touch of pressure - but do not think BU had a shot on target. 2 great goals from Danny Lloyd, thought the combining with Felix for the 2nd was classy. All in all 3 points, 2 goals scored, none conceeded, a catch up with Fudgie and Shropshire - so a good afternoon out and thankfully the fog held off long enough to be home by 7pm

Cheers for that, MHH, it sounds like it was a very workmanlike performance. I'll take that every week, though, if it brings in the points!

I hope Lloyd does stay at least until the end of the season. The next 3 league games are the 3 teams around us in the league so we'll need everyone firing on all cylinders for those games. We don't want any transfer speculation hanging over anyone especially Lloyd for those games.

Whilst my report is a bit late and won't be as good as ARS or Maccy's here goes.
From the get go County were on the front foot and for the first 4 or 5 minutes had Boston camped entirely within their own half, when Boston did get more of a foothold in the game they still struggled to get past a resilient defence and an energetic midfield. County remained on top for much of the first half and a succession of half chances and corners finally paid dividends when a superb ball from Lewis Montrose split open the Boston defence to put Danny Lloyd in on the 'keeper and despite the ever tightening angle Lloyd did superbly and managed to slot the ball into the narrowest of gaps between the post and the goalie to give County a well deserved 1-0 lead.
The rest of the half was played in much the same vein with County taking the game to the hosts, despite the pressure County went in at half time only 1-0 up when in reality the score could have been 2 or 3-0 to County.
Boston shuffled things about at half-time bringing on 2 subs, the changes seemed to work as Boston came out a different team but despite Boston's possession and time in County's half, they still couldn't put together a real chance as they were restrained to shots from distance as the County defence put in one of the strongest showings of the season, despite this with about half of the half played, it looked for all the World that Boston should've had a penalty, it's no more clear cut from the replay but it looked like Hinchliffe just took the Boston strikers feet but given the lack of protest from the hosts it's likely that Hinchliffe did get some of the ball.
Whilst County didn't have the 2nd half all their own way they still had chances in the half to double the lead but despite a few good runs and passes County couldn't get that clean shot on goal, the attack were given a boost however, when Boston had a man sent off for dissent, a decision that was quite baffling to the County contingent as the incident was at the other end of the pitch located within a scrum of Orange and White. Though County's attack soon perked up as late substitute Kaine Felix wasted no time in getting in on the act as his first foray into Boston's final third resulted in him being clattered by the 'keeper, looking like a foul but it wouldn't matter just a couple of minutes later as Danny Lloyd would play a perfectly timed ball out to Felix, who returned the favour by squaring the ball for Lloyd leaving him with a simple tap-in to guarantee the points for County.
All in all a great game for County, the attack got it's chance to shine and the defence showed how much it has come on since the early part of the season. It was great to catch-up with MHH as always, overall a great day.

He has a likeable arrogance but Felix gave him tat goal on a plate

It took me til 8:15 and that was after a stop off to refuel in Boston at the filling station where half of the County support called in.
