It sounded far from plain sailing, but we managed to get the win.

Lloyd has to get my vote for obvious reasons - although a number of players really stepped up to the plate in the second half today.
Minihan performs well wherever he is asked to play; Duxbury has slotted back into the team very nicely; and - his foul for Marine's penalty notwithstanding - Stopforth was excellent again.

With 5 minutes to go I thought I would be saying K for his performance but Lloyd did a Lloyd and won the game so he takes it.

Lloyd has made it into The Non-League Paper's 'Team of the Week' - a privilege on most occasions afforded only to players at the next level up!

Lloyd has made it into The Non-League Paper's 'Team of the Week' - a privilege on most occasions afforded only to players at the next level up! The only surprising thing for me with that is that it hasn't happened sooner, he's far too good for this division. We're very, very lucky to have him. Should we ever find ourselves back in the FL, I believe that he's one player we'll look back on from our time at this level with pride.

broadly agreed - i'd also mention rhys turner, who was excellent when we were awful, and alex kenyon in our conference relegation season. what about our little ginger friend as well?

Agreed, exile - at least so far as the two you name are concerned! Phil Jevons ought to be remembered with fondness, too. He practically carried the team through its first season of part-time regional football - which, without his goals, could well have led to another relegation and, in all probability, oblivion.

Phil Jevons ought to be remembered with fondness, too. good shout maccy. i was distinctly unimpressed with him for the first half of the season, and then for the second half he was exactly the classy older head we needed.

Danny Lloyd takes it 7-1 to Minihan.
