Alright, first Sunday games to discuss in my first ever thread (I think).
It seems the Eagles lost, although I didn't see it as it was one of the later games. From what I have read, a large part of it was down to the wide receivers, who are absolutely awful. It's a shame really as it is quite limiting for the rookie QB, who either has to throw to the TE or the RBs -- and they are usually double covered as the opposition know that the WRs will not get free, and will drop anything that comes to them anyway.
That puts them in a similar position to County really: Playing out a transition season with some promising young players, and a lot resting on recruitment in key attacking positions during the summer.
All three other teams in the division managed to win. It really is a tough conference! I caught a few highlights from the Cowboys' ninth win in a row. They have a rookie QB too -- but he has a couple of good WRs to throw at. I think they are going to be difficult to stop in the playoffs.

Very much a transition period for the Eagles, jlc as you said in an earlier post. It's always challenging with a rookie QB, although Dallas are doing really well - a win @pitsburgh is no mean feat. Their rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott is also looking very good. It's going to be hard to see past the Seahawks or the Patriots for the the Superbowl. Dallas are in with a chance, but are fighting history - no rookie QB has ever started a Superbowl game. Green Bay are 4-6 and are currently in free-fall on a 4 game losing streak, having been thumped in Washington. Not good. Looking forward to the MNF game for Week 12! Unfortunately it starts at 1.30am our time, so won't be able to watch it.

I used to follow the Chiefs, at the time when Joe Montana was finishing his career and more latterly when Tony Gonzalez was with them. I don't really follow any team now but try and keep up to date with what's going on.
I don't get to watch much now that Channel 4 don't have any games.
The BBC's highlights package show is good but it has nothing will ever beat 'Blitz' with Gary Imlach

A good win for Green Bay over Philadelphia on Monday. Leaves us both 5-6. The Eagles aren't going to catch the Cowboys or Giants, although Green Bay play the two teams above them in the final two games, so have a very slight glimmer of the play offs.

A little late, first congrats JLC...
I'm not a fan of American Football, I don't get it and I don't appreciate watching an hour long match for 4 hours and seeing around 10 minutes of actual play! I'm more of a fan of Canadian Football, very similar but not AS commercialised and with very slight changes to the rules. If you twisted my arm I'd say I was a Seattle Seahawks fans due to having seen a game live once and my affinity to Vancouver, the Canadian neighbour of Seattle!
I'm a huge fan of Ice Hockey (Vancouver Canucks/Manchester Storm), more so than 'our' Football and I also love Basketball (Toronto Raptors) and Baseball (Toronto Blue Jays), so I appreciate that me not liking NFL is somewhat of an anomaly.

That's unbelievable, Duds, it looks like a pass I would make if I was just thrown into a game!

The Eagles' season is an extremely dead duck, so I am waiting until the playoffs start before reviving my excitement about NFL (in case anyone was wondering why I started this thread and then avoided it!). Might get into NBA...

A stunning 6 game winning streak led to the Packers winning their division. Then, last night, they thumped the Giants in the Wildcard game. The Packers have a Wide Receiver called Davante Adams and the Giants rookie Corner Back (defender) is called Eli Apple. A headliner's dream, if ever there was one!
It's the Cowboys next at Dallas, so Sunday might be end of the road to the superbowl.

The Raiders finally came unstuck. Can't do the play-offs with a third choice quarter back.
Best season for them for many a year.

The Packers were great the other night. I know they have a few injures but if Rodgers is on song they're as good as anyone - he's a fantastic QB. Amazing the win was so comfortable when Rodgers didn't even hit his straps till 5 mins out from HT.
