well there was some fighting as a group of county made their way back from the supporters' bar early in the second half the first time we played them down there, so i hope they've made adequate arrangements with the stewarding.
been both previous times but after intending to go for most of the last fortnight, i'm jibbing tomorrow. this is who i've become, apparently. work is properly killing at the moment and i'm finding i just need to relax at weekends. county, for all its modest virtues, is never especially relaxing!

Sounds like a really stressful week, so enjoy your weekend off, mate - hopefully Jim can engineer a fine away win to make it a better one.

Is anybody else having problems with Player today? I can't hear anything.

That was a fairly nondescript performance. We probably shaded the first half and I was happy with the point on the second half performance when Nuneaton were largely on top. Odejaye bounced an unchallenged header into the floor and over the bar but until the late substitutions we never really got into it. Montrose had probably his least effective game in weeks and Nuneaton cut the supply off to Lloyd. Put that one down to experience and look forward to Tuesday

I've only just realised that Amis has been credited with the goal. If it hadn't taken a deflection it would probably have hit the corner flag!

Cheers for that summary, Yorks. Interesting to hear that the Amis goal took a big delection, I had hoped that the goal would give him some confidence in front of goal, but if it was such an unconvincing strike then I have my doubts.

Quite a funny comment about Hinchliffe on their forum: "Liked there Number 4, their winger and their keeper looked more than capable of playing in boro midfield"

Wise decision to stay away ARS. There was more excitement in the England match and you know my feelings on watching the national team.

That was a really disappointing performance today. Okay Dibble made a few good saves, but we are still missing the striker with the poacher instincts. Several times Lloyd put in crosses from the wing and there was no one there. We had chances but didnt make anything of them, apart from the Amis goal which resulted from a very poor corner I think from Cartwright. To be honest the goal caught me by surprise especially as Amis looked to be in discomfort not too long into the match. Not sure if he took a knock.
Nuneaton bossed the midfield and had some pace finding their players with decent passes. They created several chances and were probably unlucky not to nick it. The right hand side liner was continouusly flagging Lloyd off side, which didnt go down too well with the County fans.
When Minihan came on we seemed to be a bit more lively, but this wasnt the team we have seen playing well recently.
Back to the drawing board Jim.
