Following receipt of a query about the White Beaver 95/96 shirt, further investigation has raised sufficient doubt as to the shirt being `match worn` to compel the item being withdrawn from the `Make Us An Offer` effort.
Apologies for this situation .

We Are Moving ! Yes…..the current re-furb/ reconstruction of the Cheadle End that can clearly be seen on social media or by anyone passing along Hardcastle Road just now has had an impact on the Supporters Cooperative . The new plans have meant space in and around the car park area is at a premium , and the portion occupied by the cabin is needed within those plans . As a consequence we have agreed to vacate the cabin. The cabin has been a terrific tool for us …a hub enabling effective contact twixt the Cooperative , our members , and the fan base, many of whom do not have internet access , as well as facilitating our support of the Club and Stockport homeless charity The Wellspring. But we are happy to see Mark Stott`s plans beginning to take shape, thus, not without some sadness, have agreed to relocate to the Family Lounge when the season starts. Look out for us there then, on matchdays. Programmes Anyone ? With the move from the cabin, we will need to dispose of much of the stock that resided within its wooden walls. The bulk of the items we will need to clear are programmes, thus if you are interested in having a look at the stock with a view to uplifting some you are welcome to have a look by arrangement if you contact hedgegrower@gmail.com There is some urgency as it is likely that the cabin will be cleared this coming Friday so contact Ian brown when you can please leaving a phone number for a speedy response. Meetings Pending ? The pandemic has played havoc with everyone`s ability to do stuff , and we are no exceptions to that rule, but we have agreed upon a virtual Coop Board meeting via Zoom this coming week, so await further news from that. We are also looking for a follow up meeting with representatives of the Club and we hope to have news of when that may happen in our next Newsletter. Spinning Top. The North West`s Top Live Music Venue has opened its doors again, has undergone a neat refurb and has some great bands lined up for you. The Supporters Cooperative Show Support for the Stockport County Food for Christmas Campaign ! The Supporters Cooperative have always been aware of how important maintaining links to and supporting the local community is, hence our decision , some years ago, to make the Wellspring, Stockport`s magnificent charity for homeless people of the town, our chosen charity, and thanks to the support of County fans the relationship between the Wellspring and ourselves has worked well. So, with upwards of 7000 children in Stockport likely to go without food during the Christmas holiday period, due to Government indifference, it was heartening to see that County`s owner Mark Stott responded by launching the `Stockport County Food for Christmas` campaign. The Club is aiming to raise the £220,000 needed to provide food vouchers and thus help families at a tremendously difficult time, Mr Stott donating £100,000 to the campaign , promising that the Club will add 10% of Club Shop sales to that figure ultimately. The Stockport County Supporters Cooperative see this as appropriate action taken to meet an obvious need, and have agreed to support the campaign with a donation of £500. In making this gesture of support, we would also like to invite members and County fans in general , to consider supporting the cause with a donation. You can do this here:- www.justgiving.com/fundraising/stockportfoodforchristmas. AGM- 23 November 2020 The AGM of the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative, is to be held on Monday 23 November starting at 7.30 via Zoom. Details and documentation in respect of this were sent out to members this week, and details of how to access the meeting using this relatively novel method, will be sent out closer to the meeting date. If you are a member ( or think that you are) but have not received the above mentioned documentation then it could be worth you checking whether your membership subscriptions are up to date. You can do this here, and update your account :- webcollect.org.uk/coop/subscriptionPlease then advise us via info@countysupporterscoop.co.uk , and the documentation will be forwarded to you.

AGM Thoughts. The Supporters Cooperative 2020 AGM took place via Zoom for the first time this week. Surprisingly perhaps, there were no tech foul ups at all , and it proved a worthwhile effort, that saw upwards of half a dozen members from outside Stockport in attendance , one member, Aidan Kendrick joining us from Munich in Germany! If total attendance was slightly down, the fact that `exiles` such as Aidan and others were able to take part , where in normal circumstances, they would not have been able to, was a definite plus! When normality returns, we have been asked to consider setting up a link to enable similar remote participation next year, and we are looking to do just that! The elections to the board saw Chairman Peter Towey, and Treasurer Andrew Burt returned, whilst Steve Murray and Paul Thompson, current co-opted board members, indicated a willingness to continue. Sadly Edward Keane , after 4 years on the Cooperative Board, stepped down , and the meeting unanimously agreed to thank Edward for his hard work. In other business it was reported that we were seeking the necessary approvals pending a decision as to whether staging the Hatters Half Marathon in 2021 is a viable proposition. A decision would need to be made by late March early April at the latest, and by that time hopefully a Headline Sponsor for the event would have been found! The lack of a race in 2020 hit our income sharply , and whilst the Treasurer reported a healthy position financially speaking, the loss of race income, and increased expenditure on donations to worthy causes pointed to a need for continued prudence. The Cooperative had seen a large increase in junior membership in 2020 as a result of the highly successful photo session/ membership drive utilising the National League North Championship trophy, but thus needed urgent follow up to keep numbers up, and it was clear that this matter would be high up on the agenda for the incoming Board . Also on that agenda would be an assessment of how we proceed now that the Cheadle End Cabin is no longer. Whilst the OK from the Club to us using the Family Lounge , on the surface seems helpful, the lounge as we understand it is due to be re-sited and is hardly likely to offer the same level of contact twixt ourselves and County supporters. It may be that we just use the lounge as a meeting spot and jumping off place prior to spreading out pre match onto the car park and Hardcastle Road- more for the incoming Board to think about. One issue sorted however was a relatively easy decision namely to re-affirm Stockport`s ace homeless people`s charity The Wellspring as our chosen charity. No cabin = potential problems collecting for this terrific charity ,going forward, cue new Board again ! Join Us. webcollect.org.uk/coop/subscriptionStockport County Supporters Cooperative

Wellspring Appeal . Stockport County Supporters Cooperative have been keen supporters of Stockport`s homeless charity The Wellspring, but have recently lost the use of the Cabin in the Cheadle End Car Park where collections for Wellspring were coordinated twice yearly. Needs must therefore, we know our members and County Supporters want to help Stockport`s homeless people through the charity , thus we are seeking your support in raising £1000 which will go directly to the Wellspring and assist their vital work. Our Just Giving page can be reached here :- www.justgiving.com/fundraising/countysupporterscoop-wellspring-92Thank you in advance , please keep safe and stay healthy! You Hit the Target for the Wellspring ! Yes, a massive thank you from the Supporters Cooperative to you, for ensuring that our Wellspring Appeal went beyond its target with 5 days to spare yesterday. The total raised so far is £1050, plus an additional sum of £192.50 for Gift Aid, and almost all this combined total is already with the Wellspring thanks to Just Giving having swiftly passed it to the charity. Anyone who has not supported the appeal yet, but wants to, up to (but not including) 5 January, they can do so here:- www.justgiving.com/fundraising/CountySupportersCoop-Wellspring-92?utm_medium=email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=20201231_ Meanwhile, once again many thanks to all who have so generously supported this campaign Happy New Year from the Supporters Cooperative.

Stockport County Supporters Cooperative Salutes Jim Gannon !
It is with great pleasure and pride that the Supporters Cooperative joins the multitude of other County Supporters in sending heartfelt congratulations to Jim Gannon on reaching the impressive milestone of 500 games in charge at Edgeley Park. Jim`s managerial CV includes managing in the Championship ( Peterborough United) and Motherwell in the Scottish Premier and Europa League`s , but his performance whilst being in the managerial seat at Edgeley Park , at various times is nothing less than top notch. Having stopped the rot and saved County from relegation from the FL in 2006, Jim then guided County to promotion from League 2 via the play offs in 2008, taking his bright young team to within striking distance of the Championship the following season, thwarted only by a ten-point deduction for entering administration, but he kept the club in League 2 despite the hefty point deduction, to be ludicrously made redundant by an administrator learning on the job as a ` cost cutting measure`- foolishness more like, and County paid the price! He returned to Stockport in November 2011, as the club's director of football and manager, only to be replaced in 2013 by a regime that then saw the Club in regional football to everyone`s dismay. With County still languishing in Division 6 , in January 2016 Jim returned again to do what he does , starting off by guiding County to their first Cheshire Senior Cup Final win in 50 years with a 2-1 win against Tranmere Rovers, before successfully taking us out of regional football and back into the National League Premier as National North Champions in 2018–19. Currently, despite the upheavals, alarms and excursions experienced by everyone at every level of football and society generally, Jim has got his County team playing the right way and in a decent position to be in contention for promotion at seasons end. In our opinion, Jim Gannon is a Manager we are blessed to have running the County team…….. a terrific Manager and a decent human being! Congratulations on reaching the significant milestone of 500 games in charge Jim! Here`s to the next 500! Stockport County Supporters Cooperative
