My personal vote this week goes to Ocean's Eleven. Slick, funny and very, very clever - with a great cast.

Once Upon a Time in the West. No contest.
Even if you never usually watch Westerns, this is a must-see. And should you not get to view this one, its soundtrack would be impossible to resist.

Mentions for:
The Omen. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (so close). Orca. The Others. Our Relations.
But my vote goes to Once Upon a Time in the West. An epic story of revenge with the great music of Ennio Morricone.

An epic story of revenge with the great music of Ennio Morricone. Great shout with 'Our Relations', Downy. It's strange but - although I love Stan and Ollie probably as much as you do - for some reason I've never, ever thought of these Laurel & Hardy classics when taking part in these threads. However, that's going to change from this point on!

My vote though goes to Ocean's 11. Only saw all 3 recently for the first time and loved them, great cast, great story lines and funny.

Ooooo, lots to choose from this week...
Ocean's Eleven Office Space (the only film with Jennifer Aniston I can bear) Oliver Twist (the musical from 1968) The Omen Once Upon a Time in the West Once Upon a Time in China One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest The Others Out of Sight
but my vote goes to On the Waterfront. Marlon Brando and Rod Steiger give awesome performances.

shouts for 'the others', 'once upon a time in the west', 'o brother where art thou?' and 'one day in september'. my 'o' though is 'open water'. didn't have too many expectations but was surprised by the contradictory claustrophobia induced by this film, based on a true story, about a husband and wife diving pair stranded in the open ocean. it proceeds with a grim inevitability, but the stuff that befalls them is almost funny at times - the sharks have gone for now, but they're floating in amongst thousands of stinging jellyfish...brilliant!
