And you thought we would run out of inspiration during the summer.
No chance, Euro is about to begin next weekend so I will give you this one for starters.
It's Euro Time - Vive la France ! Has Hodgson given England a chance ? Twenty Four Teams will gather, And then the pundits will blather. .....................................................
Off you go, set the ball rolling (no singing and dancing opening ceremony for us, just pure rhyming)
PS - still waiting for a decision on the last one so not sure who will judge this. No rush as I am now away until June 15th but will keep an eye on you from afar.
PPS - Gazza has been awarded the judging robes and wig for this week (you have been warned).

Some absolute belters so far, guys, keep them coming! Liking the political lilt with the EU reference there, Archie - totally topical!

uro Time - Vive la France ! Has Hodgson given England a chance ? Twenty Four Teams will gather, And then the pundits will blather. England to lose in the quarters, I predict in advance
uro Time - Vive la France ! Has Hodgson given England a chance ? Twenty Four Teams will gather, And then the pundits will blather. To whom will the Scots show allegiance?
uro Time - Vive la France ! Has Hodgson given England a chance ? Twenty Four Teams will gather, And then the pundits will blather. After 5 minutes Wilshere's going home in an ambulance
uro Time - Vive la France ! Has Hodgson given England a chance ? Twenty Four Teams will gather, And then the pundits will blather. Platini won't be there due to his malfeasance
uro Time - Vive la France ! Has Hodgson given England a chance ? Twenty Four Teams will gather, And then the pundits will blather. The big story will still be FIFA's lack of governance

Time for a decision Gazza
Resting up in Poole tonight so will be home tomorrow to set a new Limerick on Wednesday.
An hour late on the crossing as one engine packed up (thank goodness we weren't flying) had visions of us doing circles in the English Channel.
Then we were amongst 11 cars that were bleeped coming off the ferry as suspect radioactive !!! Another half hour to be extra checked (I knew those jersey royals were highly suspect). Even had our passports checked, cheeky sods.
We had been searched leaving st Helier as well. The lady asked if I could open the bonnet for her to which I replied "no, I have only had the car two weeks and I don't know where the catch is". She was not amused. Kia Sportage - fabulous motor (so far). She was less amused when I dropped the bonnet on her fingers. That will teach her to fiddle with my toggle.

Ok, straight to the decision! In joint third we have Downy with: "An England/Germany final in Paris? Ah the romance." & Maccy with: "Hope Platini's not in charge of finance! "In joint second we have countyfan with: "I'll be happy if from the group stage we can advance!" & Eps with: "Platini won't be there due to his malfeasance"
However, my winner just had to be archie with the brilliantly topical, and thoroughly apt: "Cloth Of Stars for the Derby perchance?"
So well done, archie, quality winning line, matey - enjoy your Golden Quill!......
Cheers for those that took part, you're all winners in my book, but there was no way I could fit all your names on the award! Thanks as always to the guv'nor, Sir Leonard of Limerickshire! Over to you, gaffer!

Nicely done Gazza and a great winner from Archie.
Thanks to all for entering.
Yes, finally made it home after hold-ups with a lorry fire on the M23, barrier repairs on the M40 at Warwick and a lane closure in the Sandbach M6 roadworks.
New one coming tomorrow, hopefully.

Cheers Gazza. Just a shame that Cloth Of Stars didn't come home a winner as well. Well done to everyone else although the overcrowding on the podium does underline that one or two need a shower. Thanks for the lines, Lennie. Ready and waiting with the black cap.
