When County last played at Barnton..... ....and won a prestigious trophy ! With County about to take on Barnton AFC on Tuesday at Edgeley Park in the Cheshire Senior Cup, I thought that I would invite you to take a look back to when a County team last played at the home of the Barnton club winning a magnificent trophy .... Fo(u)rk Handles. With the litter from Tuesday and Thursday's games fairly light, Help the Hatters were able to divert their attention this morning to helping Mike O'Brien out as he swims against a seemingly unstoppable tide of incessant rain and snow to get the EP pitch back to its normal excellent nick!  The pic above captures the crew that set about walking and forking the pitch in the few moments it was not bombarded with precipitation,and you maybe can begin to see the task ahead of Mike and his ( volunteer)men. Give Mike a cheer on Saturday - he will still be at it pre- match ! |
