Cheers for posting, Hedge - another excellent MIAH read! I liked this bit in particular: "Some would regard this weather as miserable. Not me though. I have 4 layers of protection: coat; clothes; fur & blubber (my hat counts as fur by the way). As they say on the Isles of Scilly, there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing." However, this bit was just plain spooky!: "I peruse the Non League Paper to pick County’s next Trophy opponents. East Thurrock? Bognor? St. Albans? We’ll probably get someone like Kidderminster."If he wrote that before the draw then he's picking my lottery numbers next week!

Help the Hatters Update.
Despite the fairly gross weather , there was a good turn out this morning for Help the Hatters' pre County / Salford game EP Clean Up. An unusually heavy load of rubbish was shifted in good time, and we thank all those who turned out. The next Clean Up at Edgeley Park is on Monday next 8 January from 10 am- all welcome to join in !
This week end will see Help the Hatters in the Bung pre match on Saturday from around 1pm, and as usual every drink consumed will earn a return for the Players Fund. In that respect , at 2.15, County Manager James Gannon will be in the Bungalow to be presented with a cheque for £4000 from the Players Fund in support of the signing of Rhys Turner. The Players Fund draws its main source of income from the Bungalow , and it is particularly heartening to see fans generously donated cash go to such splendid use. If you are in the Bung on Saturday, there will be Steak and Onion Barms on offer and other good eatables- the proceeds from the sale of which will, along with the moneys donated via the Pods which are located in every stand, and regular s/o payments from a number of dedicated supporters will help us re-charge the Players Fund again, and thus help County's push for better things.
Tuesday 9 January sees Help the Hatters back at Edgeley Park for the Cheshire Senior Cup game against Barnton. Please note that Help the Hatters will hold a short meeting from 6pm on Tuesday so please if you are a Help the Hatters volunteer or supporter please try to be present( likely items for discussion include the Players Fund) After the meeting we will be manning the County Museum which will be open to County fans before the game from 6.45. Fans will also be able to enjoy a pint in the nearby bar before the game, partake of refreshments in the Museum, and buy a match programme, which is sponsored by Help the Hatters.
