What an achievement. Too tired now to do a proper analysis, but it was an absolute pleasure to travel around the country with Maccy and raise such a huge amount for charity.
Thank you everyone for your support and donations!

To be fair, the only time we had words was when Starship cropped up on Sandy's randomly-generated playlist... Fantastic road-trip - with a lot of laughs, good weather on the whole, and, astonishingly, no traffic problems. Still can't quite believe we finished both days pretty well to schedule after two lots of 500 miles: only five minutes late returning to EP last night; and at Boston on the dot Saturday! We made some new friends from other clubs along the way, which was really heartwarming. Cheers, in particular, to Harrogate, Lowestoft and Tamworth - brilliant fans. Thanks, too, to all Heaveners who supported us by donating; to Gazza for setting up my live Twitter-feed on here; and to those who turned up to see us en route - Northyorks (EP the first day), Cap'n Beefheart (Chorley), Lennie and Mrs Len (Fylde), Harrogate Hatter (erm... Harrogate!), Mhh and the two Market Harborough Juniors (Corby), Shrops (Telford) and Fudgie (EP the second day). Plenty of good stories still to tell - which my esteemed travelling companion and I shall be reporting/publishing in various ways over the coming days and weeks. Right, Sandy?!

Long Way g-Round ? Hole to Hole ? Travels with Chorley ? Travels with Macca and Another ? The Travels of Macca (and a packet of) Polo(s)? Blue (and White) Highways. ? The Lost In-Continent ? Down and Out in Nuneaton and Boston ?

Well, put it this way, my blog this Friday will be entitled 'Popular Blogging Spot' - and no, it wasn't us!
I can only echo what Maccy has said, partly because he has summarised the trip far more eloquently than I could, and partly because I feel like I have jetlag this morning and everything is a bit fuzzy!
He's right though, we do have some tales to tell...

Current total: Now that's just rubbing salt into my Euro 2016 wound! Seriously though, almost at £2,000!
