Hello, fellow Heaveners!
We've added another feature to the forum, so when you want to post an image linked from the internet, all you need to do is to copy the link into your post and submit the post. The link should then automatically be converted into the image within the post.
Hopefully you'll find it useful, particularly when using your mobiles.
Cheers.

** Update **
It appears it only really works 100% for those on PCs and laptops, or those using 'desktop' view on their mobile devices. So I suggest anyone using the proboards app or using the 'Mobile' view on their smart phones etc, do not use this method. It looks like a bug that needs ironing out. I think I'll post this issue on the plugin author's feedback page, see if they can resolve it in a future update.
Cheers, & apologies for any inconvenience caused.

that's pretty good though gazz. i know pressing the 'picture' button and pasting the url is hardly difficult, but just being able to drop it straight into the post is better. i really appreciate the functionality on here.

I know I'm being a bit dim, but how do I insert an image into a post? Do I have to use the URL or is there a way to copy an image from my desktop? I can't find an 'Insert Attachment' type button.

I was about to respond to this to try and help, but it would be a bit like Ryan McKnight giving advice on how to run a football club, so I'll defer judgment to the Gaz man.

Splendid.

Ok, let's see if this can be done with the minimum amount of claptrap from me! Step One - Click on the 'Reply' button
| Step Two - then click the 'Add Attachment' button
| Step Three - Next click on 'Add Files'
| Step Four - Then select the image on your PC
| Step Five - Click on 'Open'
| Step Six - Once image has loaded, click 'Insert'
| Step Seven - Then click on 'Done', your image will appear in your post.
|
|
Depending on the actual size of the image, it may be shrunk to a smaller thumbnail. Don't worry, this is just to keep the thread neat and tidy. To view the larger image, simply click on the thumbnail and the bigger version will appear. Hope this helps, feel free to ask if there is something you're not too sure about. Cheers.

Top man. Thanks for going to the effort. I was using 'Post Quick Reply' rather than 'Reply', so that's learned me.
My first post with images didn't quite go to plan (See under New Club), but I'm sure I'll get there in the end.
At least I'm trying (in both senses of the word)

Anytime, mate. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
