Fully agree, gazza. Given the right service, Brewster is a class act. It isn't so much a case of extending the loan as hoping that Everton don't recall him! The terms of his youth loan allow him, in theory, to stay at EP for the rest of the season. The problem, of course, may be that his parent club take too much note of his doing well elsewhere - as they did with Dyson. Best bet, I reckon, is for Brewster, having scored today, not to make any attention-grabbing headlines in our next couple of games...

Fully agree about the first half ARS, in fact I had just replied to my son who had FFS why didn't he pay £28 to watch Birmingham at Derby (as they went 3-0 up) with FFS why DID I pay £15 to watch county. When we duly scored.
I felt we had come into it more before the goal and there was a sense of more purpose (thanks in part to Special K) without any real chances. I did note that there was little movement off the ball and do on the occasions when players moved forward they were left with no options to release the ball to a colleague so they just hit aimless balls. Even from throw ins we were static at one point in the second half we had a throw in on the left in their half 4 of the 5 closest players to the thrower were Nuneaton players.
Some hope but a long long road ahead.

Agree, it was looking like yet another depressing lost match, where we created a few chances but just couldnt hit the target, until the mass euphoria broke out when Brewster put it away. It's amazing what scoring does for you, something that should happen every week but for a variety of reasons just hasnt. Was please to see more fight this time out and the team spirit lifted and yes there was belief we might have enough to win it. Was pleased to see Big Kay setting up Brewster for the goal, Ledsham put in yet another good but painful shift, and even Henderson appeared 'over the moon' with the draw.... Like MK said we need much quicker movement of the ball and much quicker counter attacking, but pleased with a much better performance and the scoreline.

Reading the match programme Nuneaton are a F/T team with a commitment towards producing their own players, they have teams from the u14's level upwards. Kevin Wilson had a similar set up at Ilkeston and look what they achieved. If they get promoted they have a good structure to keep themselves in the Nat League and not get relegated.
We need to get back to F/T to allow continuity after promotion and further give AL some resource to carry on building for the future. He said he expects 1 player to make the first team next season. We need to get players developed and get something back from them in the transfer market. Isn't that how Elwood managed to balance the books by selling a player or two.....

Mike Flynn & Danny Morton post-match interviews: "Injury time goals have cost us 12 points". What a difference those points have made. *Edit. I can only find 6 points dropped, North Ferriby home, Lowestoft away and Stalybridge away. Also, it was Flynn quoting what Young had told him.

My main point from this game was how much it turned around when Odejayi came on, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Odejayi really is the partner Brewster has been screaming out for!

read a report on some groundhopper blog and he thought it was more down to nuneaton taking off their forward who had been holding it up and replacing him with marlon harewood, who singularly failed to do the same. that might have been an aspect, but i definitely thought it was more about our positive changes.
