we lost the game. against the team bottom of the table. time to go for ian, and getting there for NY too. a mighty chorus of boos, such that i haven't heard for a long time despite the dross we've been experiencing over the last couple of years, rang out at the final whistle. it is starting to seem quite final for a number of them; players and staff. Pretty much summed up there, mate.

that was depressing. watching it, i can't dislike him, but he sounded absolutely beaten. couldn't disagree with much of what he said, including "you can't just keep throwing players at it", which was slightly surprising given that has been his entire method so far.
should have also mentioned in the match rant, that i thought marsden the new lad added to us when he came on second half, and rattled a couple of shots on target. didn't get much out of the new winger though.

Thanks for posting, mate, but I really can't bring myself to listen to it. Just from seeing his face there on the still photo I feel able to predict what he's about to say.
Drowning is bad enough without listening to him describing the f***ing water.

know what? while i don't particularly want to see someone hurting for my entertainment, at least i have no concerns about the honesty of the man. no excuses, no wriggling. i don't have a problem with him, at all. i'd like him to turn it round. he just has to do it quickly because his time at county is very limited now.

I can't give him more than two games with at least one decent win and a draw. Anything less and he's got to go for me.

i'd like us to just pull an actual performance out of the bag against nuneaton next week. i can take a draw, i just want to see something that isn't disjointed and aimless like we've been so much recently. look organised. look solid. create some good chances. that will do in the very short term. but then some wins have to start coming from it.

Currently the worst form in the Division, not good enough!!!! To carry on from this point: We currently have 32 points from 25 games, including 6 points from the last 10 games!! Last season Guiseley finished in the last play off berth with 70 points We are 38 points away from that, and only 17 games to play, therefore need an average of 2.23 points a game required. By my reckoning that means we can lose 3 more games and providing (big ask) win the remaining 14 and we would get past 70 points. So - as we all suspect (and for a long time) - its an almost racing certainty we will still be in this division next term (unless it gets worse!) If we carry on with current form and thus manage a paltry 10 more points we could be in real trouble and staring at the trapdoor to the NPL!!

I didnt go to yesterdays game. Circumstances meant i missed it. However it strikes me the players dont know how to play in the way neil wants them to. Some players need to get honest about their feelings in regard to playing for stockport. Some players do try hard that much is evident but some seem to be just coasting along. Maybe what is needed is to look into the development squad and give a few the chance to prove themselves in the 1st team.
I think i saw in a program that an county u18 team won 6-2. Am not saying these are the answer in full but it might just wake the first team up if they were dropped in favour of players who are at least hungry for the fight. Our 1st team look like they are going through the motions. A sunday kick about park team can play better than county and get more shots on target. Maybe thats harsh but when you look at how we are under performing and the number of players who have simply failed to play simple passing and shooting football maybe its not.
I dont believe its the manager in this case i believe its the players or at least some of them just not performing but taking the money. Yes they work all week but if they dont want to play then dont play. They chose to be part time so get on with it. I am ashamed of the team right now and feel angry that we the fans are expected to support such dross. If our support was based on team performance there would only be about 50 fans and their dog at home games. Of all the teams in this country we support county because we believe in the club and the team to give 100% backing home and away. How many lower league and semi pro etc can say they are supported as well as county?
Look at how many we took to staly vegas, if that kind of support at away games isnt worth giving you all as a county player then its time they moved on.
To the players - shape up or leave and do it today. i think the players should attend the fans forum - but only those who genuinely want to play for the club and show the fans some loyalty for sticking by them. Those who dont show up can just quit. But i doubt they will find a better supported club who will accept grossly inept attitudes.
As far as a new manager is concerned - the money position wont change so a new manager wont fix it. You dont get success as Young has had by fluke.

For me, Neil Young's time is up.
He has been given time, money and a hell of a lot of backing from the board, HTH and most of all the fans and simply hasn't produced the results. He won't look in the market that doesn't have a Liverpool postcode attached the teams address, he has absolutely no plan B for when things go wrong.
He got rid of an entire team deeming all but one of them, not good enough to get us out of this league, which may be true. However he has brought in a team that for the most part seem just as bad if not worse.
His over use of Big Kay as a lone striker and under use of him as a targetman has baffled me as well. I think he's a good manager, just not the manager we need right now.

Highlights now up (mercifully short). My comments:
- That is a ridiculous piece of goalkeeping, and a definite penalty. - Baggie's invisibility trick is better than Derren Brown's. - Johnny Margetts needs to keep his eyes open when heading the ball.
