Some excellent history, and quite a crawl, there!
Cheers for the link, gazza.

Always good when Brinksway Boy puts up all those old photographs.
Maybe it's because I'm exiled but I could look at those all day. Wonder if he fancies putting them all in a book?

I studied in Aberystwyth and in my first year I lived on the seafront which has just been battered by the weather. There used to be 40 plus pubs which worked out as a pub for every 250 people (including children!). Every year some intrepid souls did a pub crawl, having a pint in the first and last pubs and a half in those in between
And then a stomach pump at Ysbyty Bronglais ( the hospital).
Never did the above but did one or two all dayers.

Ps-40 pubs in the town, not on the seafront!

Ps-40 pubs in the town, not on the seafront! Lol, I was gonna say, you'd be taking one hell of a battering in winter!
