Looks as if it will all be decided in defence, so far as our tie is concerned, Mhh!
Best of luck to all the teams. And many thanks for organising, Sandmeister.

Well well, is there an advantage in being drawn at home ? 5 point start ?
Most games look like like hinging on one player (or choice of captain).
Excellent stuff, Sandy.
Just hope Archie has taken his eye off the ball while he is away from home. Good luck all.

I think you need to put some new players in your side Macc - preferably ones with nicknames like "fat belly" or "cannot run for toffee" - ah but they proably have played for County in the past - when we were bad. Good luck with it though mate, but not too much luck!

Good luck, gazza - or should that be bonne chance given the distinct lack of English players on show?
Great team name, by the way! Did the name or the player come first?!
Cheers, sandy - great stuff.

The team name came to me after Sandy pushed me to name my Captain, so after I picked Kouyate as my captain he then pushed me for a team name, and it just popped in there Stay Puft Marshmallow man-style! It's probably just about the only thing decent about my team, and I'm expecting a good old-fashioned thumping in due course! Good luck, matey, not that you'll need any!

I think it will be a tight affair, gazza (actress, bishop, etc.) The reality is that I have very little knowledge of the Premier League and the players. If Sandy hadn't gone to the effort of providing the 'current scores' (for which he deserves a medal!) then I wouldn't have had a clue. In fact, I'm expecting at least two of my players to be out injured for the season or banned for three games and I am completely unaware!

I agree Sandy really has done a fantastic job listing all the players for us. Belting quiz, belting quizmaster!

Macc - you're 12 points up on me with your two different selections of Cech and Smalling, my two to play - but I fear that may just be a bridge too far!

Morning all
Some results have now been decided, but some are still relying on the outcome of Spurs v Villa tonight.
Here's how things stand at the moment:
QF1
The Maccnificent Five 30 - 25 Market Harborstars
* Market Harborstars still have Dier to play for Spurs tonight, and need him to score 5 or more to avoid being eliminated
QF2
Hyde Are Bad 23 - 23 Sugar Sugar
* With no players left to play, we have a tie, to be replayed this coming weekend
QF3
Not Ep-worth The Money 28 - 27 Wile e. Kouyate
* A narrow win for Not Ep-worth The Money, thanks to the choice of 'keeper (as the rest of the team scored the same) - Howard got one point more than his Merseyside rival, Mignolet.
QF4 Shed Town FC 16 - 19 County Benno Blues
* Shed Town still have Agbonlahor to play tonight, and need three points or more from him to stay in the competition. County Benno Blues, despite having neither Defender make an appearance over the weekend, have former County 'keeper Wayne Hennessey to thank for 'keeping' their hopes alive. His clean sheet, and those six points doubling up to twelve (since he was their clever choice of captain), could be crucial.
So, the only team safely through to the semi-finals at the moment are Not Ep-worth The Money. Congrats to them, and hard luck to (frankly, the best team name in the competition) Wile E. Kouyate.

Good draw Archie. You undone by Kolorov missing that late penalty, and me undone by Sunderland giving your Keeper Howard catching practice in the last 5 minutes for a bonus point.
Looking forward to the replay.
Nice quiz Sandy, which only gets better and better.

Well played, Eps, good luck in the semis! Cheers for putting this together, Sandy, I'd really like to see this format again sometime in the future. An amazing piece of work, mate!
