One team remaining with a 100% record, then. County should be making it two, still - but at least we have the opportunity on Saturday to end the final one... and to jump above the current table-hoppers in the process!
Post your hopes, fears and dreams here...

Need to generally close down their players quicker....attack if the best means of defence etc. We have to control the midfield.
Looking at a 2-2 draw. Colley and Big Kay. 501 County Blue and White Army.

Looking at a 2-2 draw. Colley and Big Kay. 501 County Blue and White Army. will take that. i reckon the blue army estimate is about right too. i'd like to see colley and gonzales net for us in the league. i like them both, and it would probably do them a lot of good to get off the mark, particularly into the county end.

Anyone interested in going here before the match 1-2? It's 20 mins' drive north of the ground. It's an excellent brewpub. www.churchendbrewery.co.uk

Be a right tough one tomorrow, the players will need to really show their strength and commitment. I fancy at least a point but got a feeling we will probably win 2-1. 1407 in the crowd with 565 from Stockport
Apparently Nuneaton having been asking fans to bring the right money as they are worried they will run out of change!! They never learn - it happened in 2012 against us and apparently happened last week. So lots of coins - perhaps we can all pay at least £2 in 10 pence pieces!!

Some useful information from Nuneaton (with grateful thanks to Hedgie, for having shared this elsewhere):
Tomorrow's game is segregated and a cash bar is available behind the away stand. Beer and cider at £3 per pint. Open from 1pm.

Risky from NY not having a goalie on the bench. Just hoping no issues with Hurst.

ffs 1-1, Marlon bloody Harewood. On gates of 1,000 or less, how are they paying his wages?
That's the second time I've heralded a County lead only to see us concede, and it's also the last!

Just back from the match, pre match would have happily taken a point from today but feel a little disappointed that we did not manage all 3 - but was that because of the euphoria of that strike (goal of season contender?)from Rule? I don't think so I felt we were the better side. Generally though I thought we played with a lot of composure and passed well but the last telling pass or cross was just not good enough - something to practice in training. However Nuneaton looked dangerous at times, but our defence were solid all round except when Harewood broke away from them to head the ball from a very unmarked position. But 11 points from first 5 games - unbeaten and looking strong, with a very noisy twelfth man today (certainly compared with the Nuneaton fans). Oh and what was their steward doing, not sure the oik on the pitch should have been arrested - think the steward lost it and should have been led away!! Well done NY and the boys - I was impressed

Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll! *runs round with shirt pulled over head*
bit disappointed to get pegged back again, but i'd have taken the point beforehand, and at least i got to see us score a proper cracker. i've just watched the video, and it was even better live from behind the goal. i was fortunate to see tony yeboah's goal of the season volley against liverpool live (or unfortunate, as i was quietly supporting liverpool), and rule's might not have been quite as good as that, but it was a cracker nonetheless. two proper goal of the seasons contenders (dyson at FCUM) in our first five games. not a load of goals, but some quality ones.
was a strangely slow-paced game first half with a consequent lack of atmosphere, despite being played between two of the league's best starters. easy to blame the tempo on the change to bring robinson into the midfield, but the whole thing felt like a pre-season hangover. nuneaton had the better chances first half, including harewood being through one on one. should have put it away himself, but also had another nuneaton player to the side of him waiting for the pass for a tap in. instead he hit it too close to hurst. real let off. we didn't make a great deal, although nuneaton's number one tipped an effort onto the woodwork just before half time.
we made a couple of subs early second half - gonzales and garvin for robinson and odejayi. big kay had his least effective game for us so far. dunno if that was related to the knock to his knee neil young mentioned in his interview. thought the subs really livened us up. garvin is more mobile and was closing down better, and gonzales put a lot of work in, which odejayi wasn't doing to the same extent as he has in previous games. i really want gonzales and colley to get off the mark. i like them both and thought that they were buzzing around with much more threat than we carried first half. we were the better team for a period. we thought gonzales should have thrown himself at a cross which was whipped across inside the six yard box, and there were a few other bits and bobs. then the corner which the 'keeper punched away, only to drop to glenn rule on the edge of the box. cue volley, cue mayhem...
we continued to push and could possibly have got further in front, but harewood equalised for nuneaton with a header from a right wing cross. thought nuneaton had more of the play at the sharp end after that, including a few set pieces; but a draw was the right result. crowd was lower than expected; i think it was a thousand and sixty odd, and as i said, the atmosphere was a bit muted from both sets of fans, only improving with the goals. given that both sides had crap seasons last time out, you'd think there'd be more enthusiasm at a positive start.
...and dropped points this week or not, that's what it is. as an opening set of fixtures, boston and ferriby at home and FCUM, telford and nuneaton away is pretty intimidating for this league. iain bogie would have run off back to newcastle with that lot. to be unbeaten on 11 points is great. it's just that we know we were close to an even better return. we've not even played consistently well yet - patches against boston and FCUM, but not a great 90 minute performance.
