We did, at the time, get a life-sized cardboard cut-out of him, too. No idea where that ended up, mind!  That was used in the ITV comedy 'Great Night Out' if I remember correctly, Maccy? Quite right, Gazz-man. That was a good watch - including the sight of Vernon Bear sinking to his knees in despair outside the Pop Side turnstiles following another home defeat! |

Phil B mentioned on the Dark Days podcast that it was looking good for a second series, but the reason it didn't happen was down to one of the stars of the show. He was reluctant to divulge the details, however, as he suggested that it could get him into trouble. The official line from ITV was ratings, but Phil's comments suggested otherwise. I'd like to know what actually happened, as it was a really enjoyable comedy. |
