I seem to remember our having a thread on one of the previous sites about what former County players might, from time to time, be getting up to - especially at levels of the game that don't tend to attract much media coverage!
Anyway, a few snippets from today's Non-League Paper to follow. I shall make this a 'sticky', so just feel free to add any news whenever the mood takes you...

County old boys well represented in the N-LP's 'Team of the Day':
Danny Hatts (who scored the only goal in Southport's win), Danny Jackman, Sean Newton.

And talking of Newts... "Lincoln City face a big battle to keep hold of their in-form left back, Sean Newton. The N-LP understands that 5 (FIVE! - Hatter in Macc's Capitals ) Football League clubs are considering bids..." York, Notts County, Oldham, Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe are those apparently in the race.

Matt Heath, who played in central defence on loan for County - during McIlroy's time, I think - has just joined Harrogate.
Let us hope, bearing in mind the usual curse of returning former Hatters, that there isn't anything at stake when they visit EP on the final day of the season...!

Newton is a good player I just wish his attitude would have matched his talent

A couple of high-ish profile Transfer Deadline moves involving our former loanees, in each case for £3 million:
- Liam Bridcutt, from Brighton to Sunderland.
- Wayne Hennessey, from Wolves to Palace.

Matty Mainwaring has signed for Chester. Had great hopes for Matty, but I think he's never quite recovered from that horrendous injury. A good lad. Hope it goes well for him.

After leaving County, Barry Conlon had a spell in Belgium!!
He's now plying his trade at Carrick Rovers who are so lowly in the presumably Irish league system that they don't have a wiki page!
