I will come up with last week's winner a little later as I think we need to put this one out on the road now. Pre-season is here (where did the summer go) footie is back - let's go limericking. First game, and it's not far to go. Slightly north to Shawbridge, Clitheroe. Shoot, tackle and dribble, In the Vale of the Ribble ........................................... Welcome to Lancashire and not a Jimmy in sight. (Jimmy Clitheroe ? Ask your parents). Have fun and I will let you know who the judge is asap.

Sorry been rather busy these last 3-4 days so will sort out a winner myself on Monday for both of the last two limericks and then bring an Airbus rhyme into land for you before Tuesday's kick off.
Apologies, but outside commitments and family needs have taken a priority. Haven't forgotten about you all though.

Catching up with my chores for today, here is another winner to find:-
3rd place;- Macca and his thoughts that it might "snow"
2nd place :- Gazza "hoping progress is quick and not slow"
but the winner has to be for the very, very clever entry from:-
Archie - "Did we see Colley flower, yes or no?"
Which sets the standard for the rest of the year, in my humble opinion. Probably the best line for a very long time.
Cheers again for entering. The Airbus rhyme will be on it's way soon.
And Archie will be your judge for that one. The bar has been set ! Are you up for the challenge ?

Well judged, Lennie. It was, as you say, an excellent winning line by the Arch-man. Congratulations, too, to Gazza - and thanks for granting me another podium-finish!

Yay, thanks Lennie, both for the kind words and for taking time to judge and set another rhyme in what sounds like a very busy period for you. Happy to win bearing in mind all the other quality entries.
