Also interesting that the track and trace is referred to as NHS track and trace, when it is run by SERCOGives the NHS a bad name in the blame game. It's not what you are, it's who you are that counts. Serco are incompetent, of that there is no doubt as witnessed by the fact that earlier this year they were fined £2.6 million for failures in meeting the requirements of a Government contract related to the management of asylum seekers which itself followed on from a £1 million fine related to a similar contract. However, as described before the CEO off the Health Service arm of the business is one Rupert Soames, grandson of Winston Churchill and brother of Robert, former Tory Government minister. It probably also helps that Edward Agar, currently a junior health minister is a former Serco lobbyist. Their record in the field of track and trace is genuinely abysmal. They are averaging around a 50% success rate in identifying people who have come into contact with affected family members. Probably just as well since they're also guilty of breaches of data protection rules. The use of such businesses demonstrates with absolute clarity that the principle concern of this Government is to shovel vast amounts of public money into private industry. It's blatant and they are no longer in the business of trying to hide it. When one considers how much is then recycled back into the Tory Party's coffers by the grateful beneficiaries of this largesse the only conclusion that one can arrive at is that the Tories are utterly corrupt and playing the electorate for a bunch of mug punters. The shame is that at present, something like 40% of the electorate are just that.

Williamson has been described as the worst Education Secretary ............... ever. That is a very high bar to scrape your arse on. Well done Gavin. You total idiot. Put a beret on him and you have Frank Spencer reincarnated. Most of this Govt have right and left written on their shoes to help them in the mornings. Gavin has front and back on his. It should be remembered that the useless oaf was actually sacked as defence Secretary by May for leaking the deliberations of the National Security Council ffs! It would be like giving a Scarborough fireplace salesman a leading job in government...oh!...hang on...

And an adulterous Scarborough fireplace salesman, come to that (allegedly...)! Indeed and after his sacking a number of his colleagues were openly very happy about it. He had a reputation for briefing in his own favour and against his predecessor Michael Fallon. One of his colleagues happily describe him as gauche whilst another described him as untrustworthy. Perfect attributes for a role in the present Government.

Sarah Vine, allegedly a journalist and wife of Gove, has just come up with this beauty in defence of Johnson "Being prime minister is 24/7. The stress alone is incomprehensible. People make bad decisions when they are tired and stressed."
Being a bone idle political chancer and from a background in which he never having had to work at anything he wanted in life doesn't help either. Jesus wept! Is there no amount of arse-licking these clowns won't stoop to?
I've immense sympathy for the young people who are presently having their futures potentially disrupted by this bunch of f***ing clowns but I've absolutely none whatsoever for those of their parents and grandparents who consistently vote for them safe in the knowledge (or so they naively thought) that the effects of that vote would only be visited on some other unfortunate sod (deliberately via austerity) or by their casual incompetence (Brexit and for Brexit read Covid-19) on the rest of us.

Don't forget that it's our 'moral duty' to get the kids back to school next month. Words spoken by a moral vacuum.

Bar joke of the year, so far, Lennie! Wish I could claim ownership of it. Meanwhile Gavin Williamson has been DOWNgraded to Mega-Pillock. The teacher grades were done months ago. Surely they ran a test with the algorithm when the grades were received (or am I being naive?) Did no one (outside of the teaching profession) see what excrement would hit the extractor back in May (to conjure up an obvious date) ? The Universities would then have had 3 months to sort out clearing on a sliding scale basis without everyone panicking at the last minute. It's OK saying "well, take a gap year and chill" and use your new grades next year. 1) No jobs for them to go to ! 2) Pressure on next year's leavers to compete with them for same number of places, doh. What a bleeding mess. Where is Baldrick when you need him ? Meanwhile Doris finds another fridge to hide in albeit in a slightly sunnier place. The chickens will come home to roost when the students have their first national vote at the next election (whenever). They have shown their true colours in protest this week. They are not going to forget. Meanwhile eyes firmly taken off the Brexit as we march into oblivion.

This lot don't give a fig for the hassle, stress, anxiety, depression they will have caused and the mess now needs to be cleared up by the Universities. And very typical for GW to blame Ofqal and not take any responsibility whatsoever.
I just hope those affected remember this at the ballot box. And it was inexcusable that Doris couldn't even be bothered to appear, holiday in Scotland or not, BUT LETS FACE IT WHAT ELSE WOULD WE EXPECT FROM HIM.

And it was inexcusable that Doris couldn't even be bothered to appear, holiday in Scotland or not, BUT LETS FACE IT WHAT ELSE WOULD WE EXPECT FROM HIM. The Tories have a very long history of ignoring teachers. One way of getting my late father (a former Stockport Primary School head) wound up was to mention the name of Kenneth Baker, former Secretary of State for education. This is the same Kenneth Baker who has decried GCSE's as "Edwardian".....after he helped introduce them, the same Kenneth Baker who has said that if he had his time again he'd do it differently....too late muppet, you had yer chance and blew it. I suspect even my father would have to admit that Baker was better than a Scarborough fireplace salesman more concerned with exercising the contents of his boxers with someone erm...other than his wife...who was expecting their firstborn at the time, than exercising the lump of gristle between his ears. Another one who's deepest thoughts you could run through without getting your ankles wet. Anyway, not to worry because Matty Hancock, a man with his finger squarely on the pulse has scrapped Public Health England, the body set up in 2012 by the Tories to carry the can for the utter incompetence of the likes of Matty Hancock and replaced it with another quango however, this time he's picked a genuine expert to lead it. Well, when I say expert what I really mean is beacon of the irredeemably corrupt political system in this country. A Tory peer, wife of a Tory MP, head of the failed track and trace effort that never came close to achieving it targets Dildo Harding met David Cameron at Oxford University. You may remember talktalk "losing" the data of millions of its users to a hacking operation. Dildo was CEO of talktalk at the time. It lost that, as well as 100,000 of its customers oh! And the small matter of £42 million. Now, I don't know about anyone else but come the revolution, I could quite easily construct an argument in favour of burning the universities of Oxford and Cambridge to the ground along with Eton in the first few hours due to the damage that the overvalued, over-rated f**kwits who've attended these institutions have done to this country over the last few years.

Yes, I find it difficult to hide my contempt for one who's only talent appears to be an ability to elevate cluelessness into an artform but who continues to get promoted way beyond her limited abilities by dint of her connections, and only those connections.
