Did anyone else see the S*n going after Mick Lynch yesterday? Absolutely predictable, of course, but still staggering nonetheless.

I saw last week a spreadsheet showing which workers were striking on which days in December. I said to a colleague the country really is f*%ked when you need a chart to show this!
Good luck guys. I hope enough of Britain survives this Tory government for it to be recognisable.

How long until we can get enough evidence to prosecute some of these thieving conniving robbing self serving @&€&@& I imagine it's going to be a long while, Duds, especially when they seem to be changing the laws at will to suit themselves these days. Scumbags, no other word for them.

Whatever he publishes, I'm fairly sure it will be a sanitised version of the facts. Like it or not, his wife is a serial tax dodger who, until forced to change it by public outcry used her very dubious non-dom status to significantly reduce her tax liability. There are also claims, unanswered as far as I can tell, that he was listed as a beneficiary of offshore trusts linked to his wife's family business interests. The Independent has stated that trusts in the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands were created to help manage the tax and business affairs of Sunak's wife Akshata Murty, whose father is an Indian billionaire, and some of them noted Sunak as a beneficiary in 2020. The simple fact of the matter is that enough is never enough for these a-holes and the sheer bloody hypocrisy required of people for whom scamming HMRC whilst telling public service employees that the public purse can't afford a decent wage rise is breath-taking.

Johnson, Dorries and the other one can all do one, and shut the door on their way out. Shame on the lot of you.
Every day we become more like Trump, continuous lies and sleaze; the Conservatives have definitely reached a new low in the gutter.
As for Patel, Rees-Smug and some of the others on the honours list, you are really have a laugh at the public's expense.
Is Johnson's Dad still on the list ffs?
Absolute joke!

Sir Stanley was one of those bumped off the list apparently.
Perhaps he'll resign from being Boris's Dad ?

As for Patel, Rees-Smug and some of the others on the honours list, you are really have a laugh at the public's expense. Is Johnson's Dad still on the list ffs? Absolute joke! None of them are laughing at the expense of the public. On the contrary, they take the removal of public participation in the "democratic" process in this country very seriously indeed. For example, the Police Act drawn up under Johnson and Truss was made even more so by Mr Sunak, even as his confederates pushed his suave, photogenic image. He took and already draconian piece if legislation and effectively gave the Police the power to ban any protest they like indeed not only that, but has given them the power to do it pre-emptively. In other words a protest can be illegal, before it has taken place. Orwell conjured up the idea of the Thought Police. Well, this is what it begins to look like. Anti-strike legislation has taken have returned this country back to the early years of the 20th century. They have enabled the Business Secretary to impose minimum service levels although nowhere does it say what those minimum levels are supposed to be. In other words, they are what the Business Secretary says they are. Interestingly, the idea of minimum service levels are not imposed on private industry, it's why our rivers and coastlines are full of sh*t. Evidence is beginning to emerge that journalists are also being targeted for arrest whilst performing the legitimate job of reporting events and it becomes increasingly clear that there is a concerted effort to shut down anyone who may protest about or even question government. If you add to this, changing electoral boundaries, changes that independent research has suggested will favour the Tories, and voter suppression aimed particularly at preventing young people who are least likely to vote Tory from exercising their democratic rights it begins to add up to the making of considerable strides in the direction of a Police State. Two things become increasingly obvious from this. The first is that the official opposition are casually accepting it because Starmer has himself demonstrated a rather unpleasant authoritarian approach and secondly, that a political system developed during the 18th century is no longer able to cope with the stresses imposed on it by the requirements of the 21st century. There is much to be very concerned about in this country, not least when Johnson is given a job as a columnist by the Daily Heil, the day after he resigns, having been shown to be a demonstrable liar by the Commons Privilege Committee and its majority Tory membership. I'd suggest that we should take to the streets to protest, but that would make me liable for criminal prosecution!

What is it with this numbskull government- they do not choose to show any understanding , empathy or direction with the retention of doctors or consultants in the NHS. This must be part of the plan to run down the NHS even further and privatise it. Most hospital doctors I know work long hours, considerably longer hours than they are paid. This is largely due to prep to be able to fit in more appointments each shift. Burn out is a serious issue. Nurses are not being retained and burn out. They are all saddled with huge student loan debts as the NHS bursary was scrapped by the Tories. These people are dealing with life and death situations and deserve a lot more respect than they currently get from the government. The term 'Junior' doctor needs to be changed as it doesn't reflect the experience these people have built up over the years. To say this is the final offer is like a red bull. I am sure the junior doctors will continue the strikes for a long time to come - such is the strength of feeling. It is little wonder that professionals are leaving to go to Oz, NZ, Canada, South Africa, Gibraltar, US where they are paid a proper wage and there is less stress.
And it beggars belief when they say they cant afford it, when they are considering scrapping inheritance tax.
It has been muted before about putting a penny on income tax for the NHS, yet nothing positive ever happens with the dinosaur Tories.
