A lame duck Prime Minister who will now make everyone suffer for his vanity and blame anyone but himself due to his perceived entitlement to do what he wants, when he wants and where he wants.
The support only came from those beholden to him for their own political careers - haul up the ladders and leave the "pleps" to drown.
PM's question time tomorrow will be very interesting. Stand aside Sir Kier and let Ian Black have your six questions.

No relation to Lennie, sadly (as far as I am aware) - but, nonetheless, Marina is awesome! Another cuttingly brilliant piece, telling it how it is.

Another brilliant piece, with this being the pick:
"The prime minister resembles little more than a sort of deranged front-of-house figure – radiating the mad bonhomie of a restaurant maitre d’ assuring diners that the kitchen is not on fire, even though they can see the smoke belching out of the door."
It reminded me of this belter of a clip from a classic Simpsons episode:
I wonder how long it'll be before Johnson brings up the Aurora Borealis at PMQs?
Cheers for posting, Duds, she's the one shining light in all of the political bullshit in this country.

She tells it as it is and calls a shovel a spade before she hits you over the head with it. While wearing a pair of Reusch gloves for maximum grip!

No need to despair mate, with the Lib Dems increasingly confident that they can overturn a 24000 Tory majority at the last election and the likelihood that they'll come nowhere in Wakefield he'll get his comeuppance in due course. There are reports today that Tory MP's who have been contacted to rally to the flag and turn out to support Thursday's candidates are refusing to assist because one of them has publicly pointed out that Brexit is failing, Shapps is apparently blaming the rail strike on Harold Wilson whilst the Daily Heil blames Starmer so I think it safe to say that the Tories and their cheer leaders amongst the lunatic fringes of the right-wing press the generally are beginning to suffer a kind of collective insanity. The only question that remains is how much damage the lying scrote does to my country before it happens. And hey! Tory supporters! It is my country just as much as yours and I for one resent the fact that so much that was once considered decent about the place is being systematically destroyed by you and your wretched party. You know, stuff like the right to vote, the rule of law, the sovereignty of parliament, the independence of the national broadcaster, the independence of the judiciary, integrity in public office, etc, etc.

Right on the nose, Exile.
Boris and his crew are stoking the fires of the rail strike to mask their incompetence and overall systematic destruction of the country. Nationalise the industry and the unions would have only one employer to negotiate with - THE GOVERNMENT !!!!!!

What did those that voted for him honestly expect? The man has no shame, no integrity and no interest in anyone but himself.
I work for the biggest national newspaper printers in the country, so I saw the front pages of the main Tory rags in the early hours of this morning as they came off the presses, with the Daily Heil being 'the pick' of the bunch - rebooting a slogan from the run up to the 1979 election.
The Tories and their cronies are getting desperate, but the general public seem to be either as thick as pig sh*t or they just don't care anymore, so I can't see an end to this administration any time soon - I really hope I'm wrong.

Hopefully the residents of Wakefield and Tiverton/Honiston will voice the thoughts of the sane part of our country.
Honi(s)ton - great name to be going into this by-election with given the morals of the Tory Grandee.

And all this before the intellectual giant that is Dominic Raab announces that he's going to replace the European Court of Rights whose rulings we currently have to abide by with a domestic Bill of Rights.
Now if I'm being generous, I'd suggest that we should be mildly concerned because this is the same Dominic Raab who hadn't realised that the Port of Dover was quite as important as it is in the transaction of this country's trade with its biggest trading partners in the EU.
Or, I could point out that this is the same Dominic Raab who holds the majority of his fellow countrymen in the deepest contempt because he thinks that once at work, they ere amongst the worst idlers in the world.
If I was being generous I could put what he published today as nothing more than the feeble-minded ramblings of a complete f**kwit promoted way beyond his very limited abilities by a clueless PM who values nothing beyond the ability to be a brown nosing, arse licking sycophant.
However, I'm not feeling very generous. If we add what has been published today about what that Bill of Rights is going to look like to the shameful way refugees are being treated, the assault on the freedom to protest, the publishing of proposals for major legislation like a Bill of Rights in the client right-wing press before parliament has had an opportunity to scrutinise it, amongst others, then I'd say this tinpot bunch of charlatans and its petty dictator of a "leader" have consciously laid their ears back and are galloping towards fascism and I no longer give a flying f*** about the niceties of it because if you support a party careering towards fascism, then you are yourself a fascist.

Come on Exile don't sit on the fence, tells what you really think Tbh mate I'm past caring what the Tories and their supporters think. Rees-Mogg summed it up nicely today. When asked about the current cost of living crisis, and lets not forget that the rate of inflation broke a 40 year record today, his response was to say that his city friends were managing quite comfortably. The degree to which so many people have been taken in by this arrogant, self-serving shower of sh*t rarely ceases to amaze. It's almost like huge swathes of the electorate have been consumed by some kind of Stockholm Syndrome whereby they've been duped into sympathising with a party that is so blatantly for a minority, landed and/or wealthy and untouched by the present crisis. The Tories real mates are the owners of Chelsea Tractors and their ilk and if you can afford to shell out that kind of money on a status symbol you are utterly unconcerned that diesel has reached 198.9 per litre!
