Tragic story.
I remember him signing for Liverpool for a quarter of a million, and everyone in school talking about seeing him on Granada Reports the night before. A Local kid who had it all one minute, then the next it was gone. A lesson to all up and coming footballers, make the most of what chance you are given, because it can be taken away from you in an instant.
I'd like to think that football remembers him today, Liverpool in particular, if only as a reminder of how it can all go wrong.
RIP.

Rest In Peace! Always sad to hear about someone dying especially when that person was so young and had such crushing disappointment in his professional life!

He was an Offerton lad, ars. I also remember him buying a brand new black XR2 after signing for Liverpool, and if I remember correctly he gave his mate 'Blanny' the keys to it, who promptly ended up crashing it. Harrison then went out and bought a brand new white XR3!
It could have been so different for him. Also for 'Blanny', who I believe died a few months ago also. You might have seen Blanny walking up to Wembley for the Stoke 'Autoglass' final. I bumped into him on the way in and he was dressed as the Tango man! He'd had his head shaved totally bald, was dressed in orange shorts and orange pumps and nothng else, and his body was painted completely orange, with "you've been Tango'd by Stockport County" written all over his back in black. Cars were going past beeping their horns and shouting "OOORRAANNGGEESS" at him!
Crazy how life can deal you such crappy cards sometimes.

A truly sad tale. But good to hear of those from the game that turned out to pay their respects.
RIP. And thanks for the link, gazza.
