Great game , their keeper was good , could have been 5 but think he hid the ball up his shirt , they had some useful players
The bar staff in cheadle end were very docile today , 15 mins for a fosters and a bitter usually , try and get in quue with red headed lass but no luck
My mate said mcnight stays in Bradbury hall when he is "working" in stockport

I've read that on YB too, JD. He's a boil on the ar*e of this club, and until he's been lanced, he's going to be draining the life out of it.
Horrible, weedy little sh*t.

It was a very good contest to be honest, BPA were probably a little unlucky to get hammered so badly however in terms of actual play there was some good stuff from both sides, as well as a little rough stuff which threatened to boil over, a great attendance especially the day after Christmas and a great atmosphere, a very enjoyable game and a great win to take us into Saturday's crucial relegation six pointer!
Very impressed with Cowan, he's looking to be a real good acquisition!
Well done Lordy and the boys, great to see Craney back simply because it suggests he's really knuckled down in training if he's playing again after he was frozen out of the squad, we have gotten rid of most of the 'attitudes' in the squad and seem to be developing a team that want to play!

thought it was a pretty worrying attendance for boxing day - it's traditionally the big 'everybody's home and everybody goes' game of the season. castle street was coming like a ghost town too, although as the sun had it's thermal hat on, we sat outside at the bobby for a bit. not that i'm complaining about early goals but there's not the 'ten to three twitch' to drink up and get to the game that there once was. i, fortunately, had just plopped into my seat, looked up and saw dicko turn onto the ball and stick it away across the 'keeper into the bottom corner. good finish but i missed the build up! my brother was still queuing at the ticket office when it hit the net...
the second looked a really good, assured finish from where i was macca, turner dinking it over the 'keeper as he's done on a couple of previous occasions. they came into it and had the better of the latter part of the first half, but as macca said, we came really close to adding another when we went close and then howard tried an effort from an acute angle that the 'keeper did really well to paw away.
howard got his goal with the help of a deflection and while i'd cried 'handball' when a cross hit a defender's arm, i didn't spot the one that led to our pen. the 'keeper went the wrong way and we were suddenly out of sight (ish). i was impressed with our pressing in the middle of the pitch. we kept winning it back all afternoon and while turner was an obvious highlight, it was a pretty good team effort with the young lads duxbury and lofthouse impressing again. taking six from six has certainly made it feel better but i'm not sure i want to brave a look at the table just yet as i heard oxford city were winning...

I thought it was decent attendance wise, ars, simply because we are a sixth tier team, people are skint after Christmas, public transport isn't great and people generally spend time with their families, maybe I'm just making excuses I don't know but I can't see many other Conference North/South and even Premier teams would have got much more than us today!
I had no idea what happened in regards to our penalty but I'm sure it'll all become clear on the replays!

Cheers, ars, and cheers to both you and fudgie for your thoughts on the match.
I'm still feeling rough, but able to travel back home tomorrow to see the family for the first time this Christmas, so I'm looking forward to that.

Gonna have to disagree on that attendance, Fudgie. Turn that table upside down and County would have been pulling in the best part of four thousand at least, Conference North or not.
