Another satisfactory Saturday afternoon's work - eh, gang?
If it's left you wanting 'Moor', here's our article from today's programme. Happy reading!

Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to our visitors from Solihull.
As is customary, I’ll leave it to my esteemed co-contributor to discuss football-related matters shortly. But, suffice to say, the last time we welcomed today’s opponents to EP, they snatched a point with a late equaliser - the greatest tragedy involving Moors since Othello and Wuthering Heights put together (bit of high-brow literary comedy for you there, folks...)!
With the end of February came the conclusion to another month in Downy’s Prediction League, and it was Mrs Macc who claimed the title, just one point ahead of her son, Macc Junior, and (rather embarrassingly) a clear five points ahead of her other half. He seems to have taken it rather well, though, and I can’t talk, as I got the same score.
Meanwhile, Gazza, Ceefer and Epworth have recently claimed limerick victories to add to their collections, and our music soundtrack, “C.H.U.M.S.”, is nearing a conclusion, with Week Z now underway. Whilst it’s too late to have a say on which artists make the album, why not sign up to County Heaven in time to help us pick which songs we put on the CD?
Lastly, congratulations to CountyBenno, who celebrated his 40th birthday last weekend. No doubt County’s three points at Brackley were the icing on his candle-congested cake (literary comedy and alliteration? We really are spoiling you this week...)!
Now, a man who needs no introduction... so he’s not getting one.

Eh? Who said that?!
Well, there has certainly been a lot of football played since we last penned any fresh notes. And rather a mixed bag of results, too - with three League defeats sandwiched between County’s victory over Hyde here and that at Brackley seven days ago.
It was, one might say, a blessed relief to get back to winning ways when we met the ‘Saints’ last Saturday. Not least because that success continues a welcome pattern of beating, in the current season, sides (others being Boston, Colwyn Bay, Gloucester, Hednesford and Leamington) against whom County failed to win at all last term. Today’s opponents are another such club, so let us hope to add one… erm, Moor to that list with three points this afternoon!
One other First Team match has taken place recently, and that saw the Hatters progress to the Semi-finals of the Cheshire Senior Cup by winning at the home of Runcorn Town. Given that our entire journey through this competition has involved away-trips to clubs bearing the ‘Town’ suffix, it was inevitable that a visit to either Congleton or Macclesfield in the last four would follow.
So, indeed, it has proved: next up, a trip to the Moss Rose one week on Tuesday - and, for yours truly, the rare treat of being able to walk to a match!
Enjoy today’s game.
