We thought you should know........
The Supporters Cooperative now have 5000 shares in Stockport County, a second tranche of 2500 having been transfered over to us yesterday. This gives the supporters a small but neverthe less significant stake in the Club and is a breakthrough not to be under estimated.
In addition, we can announce that the Club has agreed that the Board of the Supporters Cooperative could send a representative to County Board meetings on a regular basis- another first and a definite gain for the supporters.
In conclusion....a reminder of the Fans Forum in the Insider Suite at Edgeley Park, on Wednesday 4 March starting at 7p.m. Pure`s Jon Keighren is hosting, with Richard Park, Gary Burton, Steve Bellis, and Alan Lord answering questions for the Club. This is an opportunity for fans to ask those questions that have been bugging them for ages- as such it is an opportunity not to be missed!
STOCKPORT COUNTY SUPPORTERS COOPERATIVE.

Indeed great news, not only the shares, but more importantly the place that now assures at board meetings. Nothing can be hidden from us now as all subjects in detail are covered at these meetings. I'm thrilled the Co-op will now be in attendance. Re the forum, I really hope more than 30 turn up (the average attendance) ! I see dozens of questions posted in cyber space by dozens and more people...lets see if people can drag themselves away from their keyboards and ask these questions in a place they may actually get an answer *sighs and doesn't hold breath*

Fabulous news, and great for the fans - love to know how many shares there are in total (if anyone knows?) There are hundereds of thousands, so 5,000 in percentage terms makes the fans a tiny minority shareholder in reality. BUT really 1 share is as good as 5,000 as it makes us shareholders and then privvy to infomation previously never available. Hopefully one day we can own 51% or more, but this is a great start.

little of it's me matey TBH. I cannot fault the effort others are going to. I just so wish it reflected a little more on the pitch as that is where many judge them. It'll come though...

I just so wish it reflected a little more on the pitch as that is where many judge them. It'll come though... foundations, isn't it? you get those right and slowly and surely the rest should come right too. we can all piss and moan (alright...well i piss and moan) about how it's going on the pitch at the moment, but until recently it's been equal parts shite on and off the field of play. the times they have a changed!
