I'm pleased to announce (before it's revealed in the programme article later) that Mrs Sandy and I are expecting Sandy Jnr II in June next year.... hopefully it'll still be worthwhile introducing him/her to County!

Obviously, as your co-contributor, I was in on the secret a little earlier - but it's fantastic news all the same, matey . Many congrats to you and Mrs Sandy! And County, take note... you need to keep it going now more than ever!!

Woaaaah. 10 TIMES HARDER?! No one told me that! Still, I've since realised my paternity leave is likely to be when the World Cup is on... winner!

Paternity leave?! It ain't like it used to be, we only got the day off if we were lucky, and even then it came out of our holiday pay............. If I was in charge I'd put a stop to that. Of course we can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt. Which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now where was I... oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones......... oh, where was I?I think this classic sums it up best:Congratulations to you both, mate!

Excellent news Mr and Mrs Sandy (although I knew a couple of week's ago !!) Double the kids, triple the work (at least). After Lennie Jnr Number 3 we discovered what was causing it !

No danger of us having to consider Wayne then... or any other English names for that matter. Of course, you're assuming we're having another boy!
