Some of you may not get the non-league paper so I thought I'd add my 220 words of wisdom here.
<strong>Promotion Hopes Alive As Hatters Beat Hyde<strong> Stockport kept their play-off hopes alive with a hard-fought victory over a Hyde side still seeking their first away win of the season.
It was a pretty even opening half-hour with neither side creating anything of note, until Danny Glover's header from a Nathan Woolfe cross looked to all in the ground as though it would hit the back of the net, only to narrowly go wide of the post. This awoke County as on 36 minutes they took the lead through top scorer Kristian Dennis, he latched on to a poor chested backpass by Hyde left-back Kyle Brownhill and kept a cool head to slot left footed past Ed Wilczynski.
Hyde's best chance to draw level came right on the stroke of half-time, Perry NG burst forward from the back and found Pete Boyle in the County area, but Boyles exquisite turn and shot was matched by a fine fingertip save from Danny Hurst.
Hyde were left to rue that miss, as just two minutes after the break Glover doubled the Hattwrs advantage, this time making no mistake from a Woolfe cross and planting his header firmly past Wilcyznski.
The impressive Connor Hughes could have pulled one back for Hyde after his mazy run from inside his own half, but Hurst again came to County's rescue, to ensure back to back Derby wins having beat Stalybridge last week.
