It's been a while since I've had cause to put up one of these pieces with a post-match smiley.
So, so as to make up for lost time (and home form), here's one for each of today's goals... . Happy reading!

Afternoon, everyone.
Regular readers (God love you both for your perseverance) will be familiar with our habit of using opponents’ nicknames as cheap puns. Far be it from me to ‘brake’ with tradition… I’d like to welcome Leamington to EP, but sincerely hope our recent losing streak has come to an abrupt halt by 5pm!
If you’ve visited CH before, you’ll be aware that we have a very amenable ‘Admin’ team (apart from one particularly unpleasant chap - me!), who ensure that the good ship Heaven sails on tranquil waters. You can learn all about us in our ‘Meet the Team’ section, if the mood takes you.
What you may not know, however, is that Heaven would fall apart were it not for our unsung hero – Gazza (he’s like our Mark Lees). He describes himself as ‘Forum Maintenance’ but, in truth, he is much more than that. The whole design of the forum was down to him, and the little nuances, like the snow over Christmas and the fireworks on New Year’s Eve, were his babies. He also worked tirelessly to give us our own little arcade room, and somehow found time recently to win the limerick competition and take an early lead in my quiz. Gazza, Heaven salutes you!
Now then, here’s our other hero, Maccy, with some more ‘brakes’ puns no doubt. I’m starting to wonder whether they’re not funny anymore, but I can’t seem to stop!

I’ve got a clutch of such gags, if truth be told, Sandy – but I’ll pedal them on another occasion!
Actually, our visitors came up with a pretty decent pun themselves, while producing their own Brakes Fluid beer. Not only that, but it’s a tasty brew – and definitely in the running for County Heaven’s end-of-season ‘Best Liquid Refreshment Award’! All will be revealed when Harrogate come a-visiting on 25th April…
In the meantime, there are still three months and a day of the season left – and, as Sandy says, County will be looking to get back to winning ways. Having bowed out of the FA Trophy on a sleety winter’s night in Wrexham, our hopes were high for better fortune on the road four days later at Gainsborough – but nine men, despite battling bravely, found themselves with just a little too much to do against eleven… or was it twelve?! (Still, at least Tuesday’s postponement at Alsager has left us to fight another day in the Cheshire Senior Cup!)
As is the Heavenly way, we say hi (again) and goodbye (well, au revoir), respectively, to the returning Kyle Jacobs and to Glenn Belezika. The latter, in joining Linfield on loan, will work with a popular ex-Hatter in the Northern Irish club’s Player Manager, Warren Feeney.
Enjoy the game – and let’s see if, starting this afternoon, we can accelerate back up the League!
