cheers for posting gazz.
pretty strong words. for me though, once it was taken to a replay at the racecourse, it was always likely to be all about the league again. just hope this doesn't knock confidence too much.

Someone on MMMB posted after Saturday's game with regards to why don't they just go straight to penalties in the FA Trophy, to save spending money we don't have on another tie and risk losing what we made from the home game to the EP Police bill.

I was all for defending Lordy with the reasons of '8 missing in the squad....Tuesday night fixture...etc' but credit to Alan, he was having none of it. He was right. So there was some players missing but he had a team to put out and where was their fighting spirit? He talked about a negative body language and that their heads were down? Why was that? What was the factor?
Did our brilliant travelling fans not inspire?
Are we missing a leader on the pitch itself?
Did Milligan have a far larger impact than the free kicks?
I hope Lordy does find the answers. I hope the lads haven't lost the passion. I know that they are a team that are different from before. They respect County.
Maybe, just a bad day at the office.
On to Saturday!

Maybe, just a bad day at the office. we will have them sometimes - thankfully i wasn't one of the brave souls who travelled last night but the second half at chorley away still rankles with me a bit! i suppose it's easy to feel sorry for yourselves once you go a couple behind to a higher division side on a rough night when your squad is looking pretty injury hit... i don't like it particularly, but if they're going to do it, i'd rather it be in those circumstances in the cup than in a league game.

Cheers for that info, mate, it makes sense when put like that. Shoe on the other foot I'm sure we'd want the replay too.

The Wrexham fans didnt make any noise until they scored.. embarrassing really. When they were drowned out by the County fans... we may have lost but all credit to the fans. Like you say on to Saturday, hopefully Glover, Gregson, Jacobs and Wilkinson will all play.

I think Sirius makes an excellent point, we really are missing a leader on the pitch!
I think that leader was Milligan, whilst I'm sure Lordy had his reasons for getting rid, I do think he will be missed!

I can understand why Milligan would be missed as a leader, but regardless of the level they're playing at these are paid footballers, there should be eleven leaders out there, not just one.
Maybe there is some correlation regarding Milligan being shown the door and our recent results, who knows, but the lads need to grow some and have a long hard look at themselves and their own performances. Then put it right in the next game. If they lack the ability to analyse their own game and then make an effort to put it right, they're in the wrong job. With or without Milligan out there to tell them to tuck their shirts in.

Agreed, exile - and, although he stands between the sticks, I would add Hurst to that list. He certainly isn't shy when it comes to chivvying/encouraging his defenders along!
