Good morning all and Happy New Year from Quizland!
Let's see if some of our new members fancy joining in....
You won’t believe this, but there has been another murder at EP! It’s getting like frigging Midsomer in SK3.
For those of you who enjoyed last year’s Cluedo based quiz, you’ll be pleased to learn that we’re doing it all again!
One of the lovely Wildcat Dolls, who you might recall brought joy (and the occasional semi) to men frequenting Edgeley Park a couple of seasons ago, has been brutally murdered when she came back to EP to collect a pom-pom she left behind by accident. As with the last quiz of this nature, it’s up to you to work out who killed her, what with, and where (her body was again found on the centre spot - a copy'cat' killing if you will - but it was clearly dragged there from somewhere else).
What the police have managed to determine so far, is that she was killed by a player from our doomed 2012-13 season, but you’ll have to do the rest.
Over the next 5 weeks, I will give you clues to County players past or present. If you get that player right on Monday you will get 5 points, Tuesday 4 points and so on. However, you will also get the same number of ‘cards’ (chosen at random) from which you can eliminate either a suspect, weapon or murder scene.
There are 6 suspects, 6 weapons and 6 murder scenes:
Suspects
Sean Newton
James Tunnicliffe
Sam Sheridan
Carl Piergianni
Jon Nolan
Craig Hobson
Weapons
A scarf
A flag from the railway end
A stale hotdog
Goal netting
SCFC pencil
SCFC Tie
Murder Scene
Players Tunnel
Cheadle End toilets
Club Shop
Pop Side turnstiles
Players’ Lounge
Car Park
Throughout the 5 weeks you can have 3 guesses at solving the murder. If you work out who killed the Wildcat Doll, where and what with on Monday Week 1 you get 25 bonus points, then 24 on Tuesday and so on until just the one bonus point on Friday Week 5. If you use up your three guesses without solving the murder, you don’t get any bonus points I’m afraid, so choose when to take your guesses wisely!
Because there are 15 ‘cards’ to collect (the other three being the answer!), a score of 3 points or more each week will ensure you solve the murder by the end of the quiz – but the sooner the better!
To help you keep track of your clues, I've attached a handy clue sheet. You're welcome.
