Very well written, but it highlights the massive difference that can often exist between what is the 'law' and what is 'right' - how are they able to repeatedly get away with dragging this out? If the ordinary man in the street missed a non-payment of council tax fine payment, for example and tried to drag it out this long, their house would have been gutted by the bailiffs within a few months and they'd be living on the streets by now - the 'law' stinks. I really hope this year will see the end of this nightmare for that great old football club, with the Oystons being completely ruined in the process - it's just a shame that Jimmy Armfield won't be around to see it.

cheers for posting len. it's another turn of the screw against the regime, but meanwhile the stadium is one eighth full and businesses around have been suffering.
i like the positivity from the trust though, about supporting in absentia, and wanting the match attending supporters to express their displeasure with the regime from inside the ground, while the NAPM lot do it from outside.

Come on, Blackers - this BBC/Solihull love-in is making me want to vomit.
Embarrassing.

Oystons back in court (again) today.
Possible outcome is the appointment of receivers to sell his assets and repay Belekon (eventually).
Could push the EFL to deduct 12 points from Blackpool which would be a huge shame given their present form.
12 points is usually deducted for going into administration (ie over spending and bankrupting the club) it would be ironic if this is invoked because Oyston underspent and wrecked the situation.
Watch this space.

Watch this space. The Football League (not aimed at you in the slightest, Lennie - but I just hate those bloody Americanised abbreviations) should show some discretion here and not punish the club, because that - in my opinion - would be like punishing a GBH victim for having his head kicked in. Good luck to Blackers. I don't really care what Belekon gets out of this, I just hope that - for every genuine Blackpool person past and present that has forked out their hard-earned money and/or worked hard to keep the club going behind the scenes - the club comes out of the other side of this in one piece, so the staff and the fans can finally get to look forward to a better future. Fingers crossed.

we'll see if the judge will act or let oyston prevaricate for another 3 months. if it's the former, oyston will probably try to appeal (if allowed) or injunct against any action. he's making it a long, slow death but hopefully he's running out of room.

A High Court bid to appoint a receiver to force Blackpool FC owner Owen Oyston to pay the £25m he still owes Valeri Belokon has been approved. The receiver will be asked discharge some of Oyston's assets, plus those of Blackpool Football Club (Properties) Ltd, formerly Segesta Ltd, which owns Blackpool FC, the stadium, the training ground and the Travelodge.
Mr Oyston, who owns 24 properties, including his 20-acre home Quernmore Hall, Lancaster, and has shares in six companies, opposed the application.
The hearing was told the appointment of the receiver could result in Blackpool FC being docked 12 points by the English Football League. It remains to be seen if this will happen.
IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE OYSTONS HAVE .......................GONE !

A huge sigh of relief goes around Blackpool.
Top class people brought in to steer the way forward (including a certain recent recruit to the Walking Football Brigade).
Expecting a 10K plus crowd against Southend a week on Saturday.
