The stand in the picture is the old Scratching Shed.
So called because everyone come out scratching after a game !!!
Use to take the lads in there for "a quid a kid" and a fiver for Dad. My goodness, have I watched some shite from there.

That was where they used to stick the visiting riff-raff ARS, after they closed the Open End (that's sounds odd reading it back !).
Once saw Pool play Coventry (1st division side then) in the League Cup. About 100 die hard sky blues fans were on the Open End Corner when the Heaven's cascaded down. After 30 minutes of this downpour (and as they were losing 2-1) they all invaded the pitch..................... and jumped the fence into the Scratching Shed for shelter.
The police nearly wet themselves until they realised what was really happening.
I forgot to add that I think it was a very cold November Tuesday evening.

...and now meeting them in the third tier. ouch! for both! How the mighty have fallen. Pool were still 2nd division (3rd tier) when we saw that last Coventry game. Just checked - Sept 16th 1997. Pool won 1-0 but lost the 2nd leg 3-1. It was still very cold and wet for a Autumn evening. Andy Preece - centre forward !! Megson had just left to come to County - a bigger team !

Not holding my breath on this one. They may be urinating into the proverbial breeze.
Meanwhile - The team starts training with a 12 man squad (plus a certain Mr Nile Ranger who hasn't been seen since Christmas)

This is part of a long standing feud with 2 supporters and apparently this guy was delivering court papers to the ground for an upcoming case.

The man is totally mental and not fit to be involved with a football club, the quicker Blackpool can get rid of him the better.
