It would, I lived in Blackpool during my school years and had really good banter with my Blackpool supporting mates when we were playing them.

That won't happen we will be going back in to the league as they drop out of it. Wishful thinking, but it would be nice to play them in League 1 or 2. I really hope we get back to those days, great away day that was.

It was Gazza, but from what I remember we usually got beat at Bloomfield Road so going to school on the Monday wasn't great.

I would love a Blackpool away day, but for their sake I hope we don't meet them too soon!

nope. miles off! we won really late on when we were in that section down the side. jim got one of them. then we won 3-1 on a night match with luke beckett scoring the third, with us in the old stand behind the goal. then we won either 4-0 or 4-1, again with luke scoring, and us in their first temporary stand down the side. had a pretty decent run there eventually, but i think they were mainly beating us at EP in the same seasons.

Best EP game v Blackpool for me was when Elton Welsby's blue-eyed boy, Dave Bamber kept crying to the ref because he couldn't handle Flynny giving him a tough time, with Flynny just laughing his head off right in front of the pop side.
Brilliant that was, can't remember the score though, but I know we won.

I remember seeing us win 4-0 at Bloomfield Road in August 2004. We ended up getting pummeled on a regular basis that season and Blackpool were comfortably midtable so that was a real anomaly.

Macc Junior's first-ever County match was at Bloomfield Road, as a three-month old!
He stayed asleep for most of it, mind. And, what with the contest being a rather uninspiring draw at a time when our nights were generally sleepless (and not in any kind of pleasureable way), I seem to remember that Mrs Macc and I both followed his lead!

6 week ban (suspended until July). £40K fine Anger Management Course.
So that makes it OK then.
Pre-season buggered and the cash will probably come out of the club funds.

Pre-season buggered and the cash will probably come out of the club funds. you mean oyston's own personal bank account? since his and BFC's finances seem so closely linked...and not in a good way for the seasiders...

This one may be of interest (from twitter) Cricket was played at Blackpool's ground when this photo was taken in Sept 1989. Therefore the scoreboard and nets.

Well, Blackpool have signed 2 goalkeepers.
May need to play them both at the same time to survive.

thanks for posting lennie - i always like old photos of grounds that have since changed. the best thing there at the time was the enormous terrace behind the goal that you can just see the corner of in the pic. have forwarded to my dad.
