Thanks for posting.
Looks like it was all them in the early stages and the goal quietened them down.
All them again at the start of the second half with two great saves from Ormson either side of the goal. Well played again from Ormson with the quickly taken long kick that set up the third.
Terrible play by their number 5 for the second with a bad clearance followed up with the weakest shoulder charge on someone half his size. No attempt to follow in the penalty either. I'd be pissed off if he was a team mate of mine.

I agree, I'd be really disappointed if I were their manager. They played well but didn't seem able to up their game the little bit they needed to in the first half, when they had the majority of early possession but no cutting edge, and then they didn't seem angry enough when the game was getting away from them later on. Maybe it was an attitude thing, or perhaps a fitness issue, I don't know and don't really care!

Maybe wrong but I put it down to playing on the big stage in a proper stadium....
It was quiet to start with but once the first goal went in it livened up and second half every time the ball was anyway near the CE goal the 12th man weighed in.
Compare that to some of the crowds these teams bring in at home..

Really pleased to see two of our defenders diving in to block a shot in the first half. Good commitment and some excellent passing skills

I didn't realise how many (albeit crap) chances they had!

3-0 looks like a very generous return if that is a serious reflection of possession and half chances.
Good to see Ormson dictating things from the back (presume Hurst is still injured ?).

I think them highlights flatter to deceive, I don't remember it being nearly that one sided, I remember us dictating most of the play but them highlights do paint a damning picture of the first half!!

They did have a lot of possession, but we were never really troubled, apart from the 2 Ormson saves, which were crucial. The highlights are a fair reflection of the possession, but it really did feel like they weren't going to score. Probably helped by the fact that their Number 10 obviously never misses a meal. According to hedgegrower, Hurst is fit and Ormson is keeping him out of the side.

According to hedgegrower, Hurst is fit and Ormson is keeping him out of the side. there was a comment on pure after that suggested he'd kept hurst out. i like ormson - i think he has weathered the criticism and come out the other side performing pretty well...but i do feel more secure with hurst in goal as he's better at crosses and very good at coming out and blocking. he's a more natural communicator too. i'd have him back in on tuesday, regardless of any 'worldie' from ormson yesterday.

It is nice that Alan has a selection headache* in goal - we've not had that for a while. A sign of a squad increasing in strength. *another cliche that needs to be consigned to the bin

I think we need to go with the form keeper and at the minute that is Ian Ormson.
I was a big critic of is but I'm delighted to be able to stuff my face with humble pie! Since last Christmas he's performed excellently and looks to be getting better and better.
Whilst it's not Hursts fault he was dropped you can't drop Ormson for performing well!

I think we need to go with the form keeper and at the minute that is Ian Ormson. Someone said on MMMB on Sunday, he is only one step away from another calamity, it's harsh but I also think it's fair given his history with us. I just hope you're right.
