You'll see them again.... in time.
Just as soon as this competition is over. There might be another tie-break question yet.

It was all the little fella's own guesswork (I would have been much further out than the pair of you!), and I will be sure to pass on your congrats.

Gameweek 2 results:
Friday 3rd October
Hertha Berlin (eliminated) 3-2 VfB Stuttgart (BBLW) - BBLW eliminated
Saturday 4th October
Bayern Munich (countyfan) 4-0 Hannover 96 (eliminated) Bayer Leverkusen (Macc Jnr) 2-2 Paderborn (eliminated) Hoffenheim (eliminated) 2-1 Schalke 04 (Bradninch) - Bradninch eliminated Eintracht Frankfurt (Mrs Macc) 3-2 FC Koln (eliminated)
Sunday 5th October
Wolfsburg (Big Fudge) 1-0 Augsburg (Down Under) - Downy eliminated Borussia Monchengladbach (Hatter in Macc) 1-1 Mainz 05 (Sandbach) - tie break.
So, we bid a fond Auf Wiedersehen to Lennie, Bradders and Downy. One of either myself or Maccy will join them to take us down to our final 5 which may, depending on how the tie-break goes, be mostly comprised of the Macc clan. Incidentally, we nearly said cheerio to Macc Jnr, but a last minute equaliser against the 10 men of Paderborn was enough to see him through.
Maccy - our tie-break question is to predict the attendance at Oxford City v County tomorrow night. I'll send my prediction to Eppy after posting this (sorry Eppy, I'll be needing to hang on to your family for a little while longer) so if you could PM or e-mail me your guess perhaps this afternoon?
Once we know the outcome of that tie-break, I'll post the next round of fixtures on Wednesday, but please note there are no games in the Bundesliga this weekend, so we have a break until 18th October.

Undone by by Big Bertha of Herlin !!!
Stuttgart stuttered.
Onward and upward, looking forward to "Stuck up the Poles" or whatever you have planned next.
Cheers

Tie-break guess now emailed to you, Sandy. May the best 'Mensch' win! Needless to say, I shall take up a position tomorrow night by the Oxford turnstiles, and either deter or press-gang people depending on the crowd-count...

Well, if anything good came out of last night's defeat at Oxford, it must surely be my guess at the attendance which was only 7 away (I guessed at 555) so I'm afraid to say we have our first Macc Family casualty - and it's the man himself. His guess was 373 for what it's worth.
That means our final 5 teams are as follows:
Bayern Munich (county fan) Bayer Leverkusen (Macc Jnr) Mainz 05 (Sandy) Eintracht Frankfurt (Mrs Macc) Wolfsburg (Big Fudge)
There is a now a break in the Bundesliga until next weekend, but here are the fixtures:
Saturday 18th October
Bayern Munich (countyfan) v Werder Bremen (eliminated) Mainz 05 (Sandy) v Augsburg (eliminated) Freiberg (eliminated) v Wolfsburg (Big Fudge) VfB Stuttgart (eliminated) v Bayer Leverkusen (Macc Jnr)
Sunday 19th October
Paderborn (eliminated) v Eintracht Frankfurt (Mrs Macc)
Remember, since no two remaining teams are playing each other, all everyone has to do is draw to see them safely through. That said, we could be down to our final 3 by the end of these fixtures.
Good luck everyone!

Grrr... I arrived at Oxford a little too late to beat people away from the gates with a ceremonial mace!
Seriously good guess on your part, though, Sandy! Well played, matey.
