From the Chester FC website:
EXPERIENCED defender Kieran Charnock has today become Chester Football Club’s third summer signing.
The 29 year-old has put pen to paper on a one year deal at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
The signing reunites the Preston born defender with manager Steve Burr who managed him at Northwich Victoria before he moved into the Football League with Peterborough United.
Spells at Torquay United, Morecambe, Fleetwood Town, Macclesfield and Stockport County followed for the former England C international.
Burr said: “I’m delighted to have signed Kieran and know what he is all about. He’s experienced in both league and non-league and at 29 and I have always kept a good eye on his progress. I look forward to working with him again.”
Burr is continuing his talks with a number of transfer targets this week ahead of the club’s return to pre-season training on Monday July 7th.

I did like Charnock but I don't think he is good enough for Lordy. Good luck to him

Cheers, sagey. Lordy knows what he's doing. My only worry is our budget, is there going to be enough to attract the better quality replacements?

You just know he will do a good job for them - but will they be in our division or above us?

I wonder if Charnock will be hoping they don't get a reprieve...can't see him lasting long in the Conference

One of the bigger earners gone!!! Good luck to him but I don't think we'll miss him if I'm honest!! To injury prone and very little (if any at all) pace!!

did all his looking a bit like a footballer in his loan spell leading up to our relegation. was resolutely shite last season. turned out to be a poor signing for us.
