Good luck to Quigs. We shall never forget that night against Bolton!

This popped up on Stoke on Trent Live (I follow it because I love the Staffordshire Moorlands, the town of Leek, and Leek Town FC). A brief interview with Nick Powell about how the move came about ("My first thought - Hell no" but after he watched County a few times that changed his mind), and some slightly worrying comments about fitness, being injury prone. Fun Fact: it seems he is in the process of qualifying as a financial advisor which, given his background in Pro Football makes quite a bit of sense). Anyway, see what you think. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/nick-powell-stoke-stockport-transfer-8607537#comments-wrapper

Sorry that it didn't work out for Quigs and at his Bolton best he was superb. Good luck to him at the Spitfires.

Nick Powell looks to be a great signing. He just needs to keep injury free.
TBH when we signed Stretton I thought it wont be long before he is out.
It is a risky strategy signing players with a history of injuries.
Not sure what's happening with the S&C team.....

Rumour Control: Rob Law (on twitter) reports that ex Hartlepool MF Nicky Featherstone, age 34, 336 apps and 20 goals, is training with County, as a way of gaining fitness and looking for another club.....
County do seem to be generous with there training arrangements, nothing really wrong with that, anyway he's too old and wrong position, still waiting on at least 1 more CB, preferably a left-footer....

I wonder if Simon's laptop is a reconditioned one, in keeping with his seemingly 'may or may not last the distance' recruitment drive? "Welcome to Stockport County, the football club for players with a better than 50% chance of making it through the season!"* * Tips hat to John Cleese & Connie Booth.

So hello then to Jayden Richardson, long-time County target, on loan for the season from Aberdeen after Notts Forest, Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers and Notts County (so that's two Forests and both Notts Clubs!). He's a right-sided defender (so not the left footer that I still want to see) but at 1.84 (6 feet in old money) he adds depth at the back... www.stockportcounty.com/richardson-joins-on-loan/And here's his wikipedia page... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayden_Richardson

So what's that going to mean for Macca? Is Richardson a contingency signing in case he gets another injury?
If so, we've got Knoyle, so why are we overloading in that position when, as you say, AH, we need a left footed defender more?
I don't get this one at all.

That's why we need such a big squad Gazza, with all the injury prone players DC finds it better to work them on a shift pattern!!

You know when you see skips full of reject products, like PC parts etc, I wonder if there's one for football league players that nobody else wants. A bit like when a kid keeps a box full of Action Man spares such as a sh*t load of right legs but no left ones - similar to the one they dipped in to build Mansour Assoumani!
