Another one goes to the great stadium in the sky.
This time it's Gianluca Vialli. Pancreatic cancer. What a bugger.
Always had him down as a decent guy and true professional.
RIP GV

Very sad. RIP GV.
From the Guardian.
Gianluca Vialli did not lose his battle with cancer, because for him it was never a battle to begin. “I don’t want to fight cancer,” he told the Guardian in 2020, “because it would be too big and powerful an enemy. I feel this is a journey. It’s about travelling with an unwanted travel companion until hopefully it gets bored and dies before me.”

I didn't even know he was unwell, but I don't really read the news or sports pages much these days, so it's not surprising I missed it.
Aside from being a quality footballer, he also came across as a decent guy. A very sad loss.
RIP

One of my first man crushes. I always loved how he played and approached the game. DEP
