it took quite a while for me to be convinced by him, but now i'm wholly convinced. would just like to thank phil for his efforts in what must have been a frustrating season to be captain of county. brought a touch of class and calm to the team (apart from his swearing!), and we're going to need to improve on several of the players we currently have to fill the hole he'll leave - just covering those goals will be a difficult proposition.
thanks phil, and good luck at everton if that's what you're doing.

A full team of players of his calibre and we'd have been going up this season. Also, surely there's never been a better penalty taker at the club? All the best for the future, Phil, thanks for all your hard work.

County 3 Guiseley 3 says it all
Great play from Phil Jevons hat trick.
Ultimate penalty pressure on 90 plus mins to get a draw and to get a hattrick and Jevons slotted it cooly away like a true pro he is.
Great example to the younger players .

After 1 season not many players can compete for the title of legend, Jevvo can! At our worst he kept going and encouraging the youngsters who's heads dropped. He chipped in with plenty of goals and has looked a class above, proper captain!
Best of luck to the guy in his future! Not a bad word to say about him, one of the best skippers in my time as a County fan!

I am selfishly gutted on his decision as I have seen a commitment to our club that I have appreciated. A true professional that came to do a job. I wanted him to continue with us next season and see us promoted before he retired or moved on to other duties within football.
If I could convince him to stay, I would. I feel that he will be missed by the other players and fans next season. And for this I wish Phil all the best for the future and truly thank him for what he has shown and done for our club this season.
