Is it the psychological make up of the team - are there too many players who want to be the leader? That's a real risk when building any kind of team, especially if the cheque book has been waved around a bit. I think our squad is a real mixed bag of genuine ambitious talent, last big pay-day players, egos and panic signings - the new manager really will have a job on his hands sifting through that lot. I'm really looking forward to seeing Dave's team selection and formation for Dover. If it's the same as we've seen thus far this season, then it could well be an indicator as to just who decides who and how we play. I hope he's given full control and is allowed to do it his way, but I won't be holding my breath. There were glimmers of hope in the second half with fast moving football, unfortunately from both sides.

Can anyone explain why the club need a DoF at this level? I can't explain why we need one, but I know why we've got one. Simon Wilson is a modern-day Walter Mitty who had a dream of running a proper football club, got bored of playing FM and went and found himself someone with money who believed in his horse s**t.

From what I've seen he is alot more vocal than SR was. The work rate was up second half last night , hopefully he will set them up and change things as and when needed. I think he will do alright.

It makes it tempting to make the slog to Dover just to see how things pan out Including walking/ running up that hill, the best bit is post match...

One Simon down, one to go.
Rusk is a snake and was lining up this job for months with Wilson behind Jim’s back. Good riddance.
I’m pleased he’s failed if only to highlight the ineptitude of Wilson’s decision making.
Wouldn’t wish Rusk on any other club and hopefully we never hear of him in a managerial capacity again. He can go back to having a kick about with school kids.

Just noticed this on the County Twitter: It's not difficult is it, not really.

I was as disappointed as anyone when Jim was yet again dumped on by the club, but there's not a chance of him coming back for a fourth stint in charge and we need to accept that.
Frankly, if I was Jim and County came crawling back with apologies and all the promises/assurances in the world going forwards, I'd still tell them to stick their job very firmly up their collective Simon Wilsons.
