I notice from the County website that our Academy side play Macclesfield Town this morning; the advertisement shows our opponents badge (founded 1874). I doubt if they will turn up!
Macclesfield Town was wound up in the High Court in 2020 as many fans are aware. I assume we are playing the recently formed Macclesfield FC who we have already played a few weeks ago. A small point I realise, but surely County's media team should have spotted this oversight?

Although the new club is now Macclesfield FC, I understand it is still using the now defunct clubs logo. Apologies for missing that!

I asked the same question myself on here a week or so ago, Bradders, should they be allowed to use the badge of the club that was wound up and ceased to exist? The badge they're using is a lie for a start, as Macclesfield FC weren't established in 1874, they're a totally different entity. Does anyone know why they're allowed to use the same badge including the defunct club's 'established' date?

Probably in a tin pot league so the powers that be aren't yet aware (?). Agree it shouldn't be allowed

No idea but you can watch their game against Irlam on BT Sport on Saturday, I kid you not.
