Stockport County can confirm that Sanchez Payne has signed for the club. Payne left Leeds United before joining up with Doncaster Rovers during the last pre-season but was then unfortunately injured for three months. Since then Sanchez has been training with different teams and is looking forward to grabbing his opportunity to establish himself back in the game and get a few competitive games under his belt.
Payne regards himself as a very attacking player, “I’m very attacking minded, I have been looking at County’s results recently and despite the solid performances the results haven’t gone their way, and I hope I can bring that attacking threat with some nice football to watch.”
“Alan has asked me where I feel my best position is, he has made me aware of how the team works and I feel that the formation of the team is something that suits the way I play really well, so I feel that I will be able to fit into multiple positions.”
“The decisive factor in my move to County was the natural vibe surrounding the place in particular I was impressed by the team cohesion amongst the players. I like the standard of play within the side. Also with Stockport County being a massive club it was somewhere I want to be.”
Meanwhile Shane Lewis has been recalled by parent club Walsall Football Club with immediate effect and has returned to the Banks Stadium.

Yes, indeed - thanks, Sagey.
I imagine, given (what looks to be) his free agent status, he should be eligible for selection tomorrow?

Cheers Sagey! I do have to wonder, are we good enough to have players called Sanchez in our team!

During my days of playing local footie, I came across a player called Pele!! Our right back, 'negative Steve', reckoned it was pointless our team taking to the field!! Turned out Pele was an over weight goalie who wasn't keen on diving!

2 new covert signings announced by the Lord tonight on Pure. No names but he's well pleased. Out of respect to the clubs concerned he's not naming names.
